Congradulations. Joining the Service is a huge life decision. While your on active duty dont be a barracks rat, get out and see your new area, goto college, live life!
The service is what you make of it!
Ok thats more than one thing, but Marines can't count anyway :P (jk)

Semper Fi, invest in the GI Bill and go to college when you get a chance. Keep your nose clean and do what your told when your told and you'll be just fine. Good luck and God bless.

Sorry, I can't just say one thing! DO NOT settle for just being a grunt (infantry), INSIST that you will do something in the military that you use after your time in. Computers, health care, pilot, etc. After you get out, NOBODY will care that you are an expert with a rifle and a hand grenade.
Also, don't forget to opt for any and all college loan programs when you go in!
