We need sunlight for health and well being, for vitality and happiness. Sunlight helps the body heal wounds and injuries, but we are getting sunlight so we don't need to worry. The only time we would need to start worrying would be if it was night all the time.

A few minutes of sun exposure on a summer day can generate huge quantities of vitamin D in a person's body. A cholesterol-like substance in the skin absorbs ultraviolet (UV) energy and creates vitamin D. Then, a cascade of chemical reactions turns vitamin D into a surprisingly versatile hormone—one that has long been recognized to help the body absorb calcium from the diet to build strong bones. Recent work, however, indicates that vitamin D also bolsters muscle strength, insulin action, immune health, and the body's natural defences against cancer.
So we ask the Question do we need Vitamin D supplements..

Relax.
10 minutes of direct sunshine a day is plenty for your body to get what it needs. Even if there are clouds in the sky, your body can still get the light it needs with just a bit more time. It doesn't need much full, direct sunlight.
Eat your veggies.....

The body actually requires little sunlight to function properly and exposure, even on over cast days, is adequate. Don't worry.

Sunlight is our primary way of getting vitamin D. However, you only need about 40 minutes a week to get enough so you probably don't need to sweat it.

I know what's with the early Autumn!
I know it's affecting me, sheesh I'm waiting patiently to take a swim in the sea and dry off on the warm sun drenched sand!
