Then you "hare" some unreliable stuff. Atheists are no more suicidal than other groups.
I've been an atheist all my life and so far it's been great. It's as easy for me to live without your God as for you to live without the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I don't suppose you feel the presence of the latter much nor give it much thought. That's exactly the way it is with me and all gods, be it your God or some other.

Atheists highly value their lives as well as anyone else, and are generally less depressed than a religious person. They don't wait for some invisible sky daddy to swoop down and solve all their problems, rendering them helpless to do anything for themselves. As a result, they have very good coping skills with the daily problems that pop up in every-ones lives, religious or not. You are repeating unsubstantiated heresy and are part of the smear champagne directed towards atheists in the last 50 years or so - what, no more dragons to slay? Why is it so hard for a religious person to get a handle on an atheist? Are we that mysterious?

World wide, suicide rates are about 10 per 100,000 for ahteists and 6 for Christians. Muslims are less than 1.
In the US, rates are higher for protestants than for atheists and Buddhists.
And ironically, Christians are the biggest cause of suicide in the world. Young gay men are by far the most at risk group, driven to suicide between the age of 15 and 25 by religious persecution.

You heard quite wrong. It is lying to say such things to try to uphold any religion. I know many Christians, especially my oldest sister, who tell outrgeous lies and defame anyone who diagrees with their groundless dumb brand of Christianity. I was brought up to be a Baptist, for Mom's father was a pastor in that denomination. Dad's family was Methodists, so I attended both churches some. The religious stuff some of Mom's and Dad's relatives told me made me miserable and often so sick that I took stomach medicine. It was a relief when I saw errors in the Bible at age 7. I do much better as an atheist than I did as a member of a nutty ignorant brand of Christianity. No mature man needs religion at all.

Oh, goodness gracious do you believe everything you "hare" ?
This isn't really a question, it is yet another attempt to insult, disguised as a question.
And most atheists live very well without religion, despite what you have "hared".

I don't need a religion, Christianity was ruining my life. I don't need it.
How do we life without religion? Well, easy I think. Why must there be a God for Happiness when the people around me can make me happy, and I know they are there?
Why does man need a God? I'll ask you that.
God fills the Gaps of the Unknown, Man doesn't like the unknown, so he says that God did this and God did that.
Science has been proving otherwise. Science hasn't proved everything. but still, I see no need for a god. If I don't know why or how something happens, I just leave it as an unknown. We don't know everything and we must accept that.

I live without the emotional and intellectual ties that most religions seem to have. I would never kill myself, because, chances are, this is the only life I have and killing myself would be such a waste. However, if someone wants to kill themself, because they are in a lot of pain, I believe they have the right.
Where did you get your facts, Jesus camp? The Creation Museum? The statistics show that more suicides are committed by people that are IN a specific religion.

You heard wrong. Most do NOT end with suicide. I know a few people who committed suicide and they all were Christian. It's a sickness of the mind that causes that, not people's religious or non-religious choices.
I live fine without religion. I'm happier now than I've ever been. I don't need to rely on imaginary gods, pointless prayers and fear of hell to live a good life.

There is some amount of studies out there that suggest atheists do have a higher suicide rate than theists.
However, it's hardly an issue of 'most'. The number is still a trivial percent.
And I do quite well without religion. Your concern is duly noted and appreciated.

Wow, um... my fellow atheists might want to research this issue a little more carefully. There are quite a few studies, reliably constructed, which indicate that atheists have a somewhat higher suicide rate than theists.
Not everyone values their lives. However, theists who do not will tolerate it to avoid going to their religion's concept of perdition for committing suicide, whereas the atheist who does not value their lives has little such to stop him/her.

Well you have heard wrong. We live wonderfully without any need for invisible, imaginary friends. Personally the only negative in my life is the occasional horror story I read about another religious zealot murdering an innocent. Yeah religious people are perfect. Now go kill a doctor or blow up a government building for your flying sky creature.
