If you have given money to the church in the past few years, guess where it has gone? No, it's not helping the poor or starving. Instead it is in the hands of people who were abused by preists. Millions of dollars collected over the years by the church have gone to perverted preists to pay restitution to the people they abused over the years. So the next time they pass the seemingly charitable basket arounnd to collect money from the people, remember where your money is going. It's going to keep perverted priests out of jail.

My money hasn't gone to the catholic church, so nope, not gonna protest my church.

So the exceptions make the rule? Just because some people demonstrated weakness, the Church will pay the price?
So if some doctors have committed crimes to patients, Medicine and Health Care suck and do not deserve our contributions? (Where I come from, Health Care is public, paid for from taxes)
So if some politicians are corrupt and we pay for their mistakes, Democracy and the government should not exist and we should not support them(and I am not referring to any present government, but the institution)?
And if some people abuse their freedom and act offensively towards other people, should we ban freedom altogether?
Are these logical conclusions?They are analogies to your comment. Because Church DOES help and demonstrates it. Why don´t you talk about the Charities, the Missions, the volunteer work etc. and only focus on the negative aspects? It is not the holiness of clergy that makes Church what it is. We are the Church, all who profess to be Christian. Clergy are people like us authorised by the Holy Spirit to serve the rest of us. But they are still men and we should be saddened if they fall, they are our shepherds.Let us pray they get up again.

A catholic priest molests a child, and the childs family is paid off with hush money, and the christians run around saying, 'hey, priests are human, forgive them as God has.' But, if a professed Pagan were to molest a child, christians would be calling for his head, and claiming how he would burn in he** for eternity. HYPOCRITES!!!
