I have spoken to a few people that own Toyota Corollas and we all happened to have the same problems. Tires (Goodyear Integrity) and batteries (I was told there was a dry cell) have had to be replaced. These repairs have been done with most cars having less then 30,000 miles on them. Has anyone else heard of or had this problem?

I can positively tell you why the acid / water is missing from your battery.
For some strange reason Toyota in general is charging an excess of 14.0 volts from the alternator to the battery. I had my Camry checked because of the enormous amount of battery water loss. The charge back rate was 14.38 volts. This is too much voltage and will cause the acid / water to dissapear in very short order
I have no idea what those nit-wits are trying to prove but as a college educated American mechanic I was taught 13.6 -13.8 volts from the alternator is entirely adequate and will not boil the battery dry.

As for your tires: The Goodyear Integrity is an in-expensive bottom of the line tire. For tire mileage comparisons go to tirerack.com

I have the '05 Corolla S and have had no problems with my tires or battery. The only "major" problem that I have had is the whistling noise at high speeds.

I have to laugh when I say "Major" problem because at 30,000 miles my Uncle was having to replace the engine on his new Dodge Stratus. Here we are making a big deal out of a $60 battery and $150 tires when the computer failed in my parent's Lincoln Town car at 50,000 miles. No car is perfect, not even Toyota, but I would much rather deal with a tire or a battery then have to replace the whole engine any day.

Yes I am the original owner of a 2006 Prius, it has only 51,500 miles on it. I owned it for a week and the tire sensor told me to stop, a nail. Since then 2 to 3 recall items were replaced free of charge. I put 51,000 miles on the original set of tires. Determined I didnt like the toyota rims. I put a set of 4 ENKEI rims 18 inch while replacing the tires. Did it all online. I drove it in the city for about 500 miles. When returning home from the doctors office a 1995 camaro Z-28 became impatient and changed lanes into the drivers side blind spot of my prius. While in the body shop they took it to the toyoto dealership, one of the batteries failed $300., not the hybrid battery. Even though its been wrecked now I'll keep it. It needs a fan serpentine belt and all I have done is keep the oil changed. I live south of the snow line and my winters are quite warm, no change in the mpg. My prius has a maximum 11 gallon fuel tank, as I drive the gauge the small squares diminish. When reaching the final square the remaing fuel is 0-3 gallons. The mpg is on the touch screen, only to be accurate I would need to write it down home many gallons and how many miles. Yes I would purchase another toyota prius.

those are not problems for a recall or something like that the battery are only use for start the engine and when it starts it runs with the alternator nothing more and the battery itself is not good enough because when you start you will absorb many energy that will recharge by alternator in a 1hr more or less of car driving so if your daily drive is not that long you will kill the battery more faster so that will be your problem

for the tires your drive is FF so the car will accelerated on the front tires and when you stop the front tires are the ones who take more damage

there is no problem at all, for the tire stop the fast accelerating and the heavy brake too the battery replace for ACDelco 5yr to 7yr guarantee

I have a 92 Camry as a second car , but I enjoy driving it more than I do my new car, I have have 47,000 on this 92 it stills smell new. The only problem I have ever had is guess because sits up a lot in the garage , it seems I use more batteries than any other car. I guess I m lucky because, let me knock on wood, never been in the shop. It drives like a new car, the body style really hasn't changed with new Camry except the grill, no one can believe it is a 92. I't a white 4 door. I still really like it a lot.

Toyota don't produce tire - change to yogohama for quietness and Falken for performance. Take note that low profile tire wear out faster than normal tire.

For battery - Replaced with maintenance free battery if you don't like to top up the battery weekly

good year tires are horrible. I cant figure out why dealers keep using them because everyone has problems from cars to trucks.
