I picked mine out with my mom. I knew I had the right one on when she teared up. It's totally up to you though. You can have mom, MoH, or both. Congrats on the wedding!

Traditionally, and a little superstition is involved also, the groom is not supposed to see the wedding dress before the wedding. That is why the mother or maid of honour often are the ones helping the bride. But do as you like. It's your wedding!

You had better get busy and pick out a gown or it will not be ready for the wedding date. You can go with your Mother or the Maid of Honor, but it would be nice to ask if your Mother wants to help you pick it out if you get along with her .

You can pick it out with whomever you wish.
If you're close to your mother, well, of course invite her to help you pick out your dress. Same with maid of honor, Cousin Fran, or Great Aunt Beulah. Even - surprise, surprise - your fiance! All that nonsense about the groom seeing his bride before the wedding is hogwash - dates to when women were property and marriages were arranged. Not so anymore.
OR you can go by yourself.
Just whatever makes YOU feel most comfortable.

That is for the Mother! Is the maid of honor paying for the dress? Did she raise the bride and have dreams of someday seeing her daughter in a wedding gown? Maybe they could all go together...but, it is for the Mother! For sure!

She can pick it with anyone who she chooses too pick it with. Why not both? Traditionally the bride's parents would pay for the dress so the mother would be there to help choose and pay. However, since lately tradition has been tossed out the window, it really doesn't matter who goes and picks it out..as long as the bride is there.
I went with my sister to choose mine because my mother wasn't able to be there.

She can shop with whom ever she wants to shop with.. The main thing that the others are there for is support.. The women at some of those bridal shops can be very pushy and try to sell you something you dont really like to make commision..
so bring whom every you like.. usually 2 or 3 is good for better variety of opinions.. So bring both..

My daughter and I picked out her wedding dress and for the final fitting it was me, my sister, my daughter's nanny, maid of honor, and a bride maid.

2 weeks!!! YIKES!!! You'd better get going with whomever wants to go with you, sweetie!!! Make it a day out with the girls and take all of them! There is no steadfast rule about who can go with you. I heard David's is having their annual $99 wedding dress sale this week or weekend! Unless you can afford to pay for all of them, make it a Dutch treat (pay your own way) luncheon date for the girls after looking at dresses! That will let them all be involved and feel special!

I found my dress on my own, I get stressed out shopping with other people, so I chose a few I liked and then emailed pictures to my mother for a second opinion.
