I got my kitten and he meowed so much we could hear him from outside the house. He was very clingy and would meow if we weren't paying attention to him, if we tried to make dinner, he would meow - and I'm not talking about a few days, it was for months. We joke about it now, as we say he's learned where the volume control is, but before, sheesh, it was bad. I must say, I think it's from being lonely, we got him a playmate when he was 8 months old, and his meowing stopped almost immediately. He still meows now and again, but it's only when we're speaking to him! Good luck, and have fun with your new baby!

Either the kitten is vocal or she is scarred and stressed. I recently moved my cats into a new house. The oldest walked around the house and howled at the top of her lungs for the 1st day and it lasted into the night. Just go up to the kitten and keep petting him, reassuring the little guy that he will be ok. That is what I did with mine. if she doesn't stop, she is probably a chatty cat. some cats are just like that.

It takes baby animals a long time usually a week or two to really adjust to the new surroundings ... expect the crying ... but you should defiantly get the cold checked ... if the crying persists at night take a clock that ticks wrap it in a blanket put it in a box just big enough for the kitten and the clock and the kitten should fall asleep... It worked for us with our new puppy!!

Good Luck and congratulations =)

Mine did the same thing...is it a pityful meow or short and sweet. He is probably just tring to get to know you....make sure you give it lots of attention, so he can trust you. This might sounds bad, but afte ryou do everything and he still meows...he may just be alittle lonely and unsecure...give it a few days..and dont give in!! he will get over it and return a normal sweet kitty.

if it has a cold it may be a little distressed. the cold may also affect it's hearing (deaf cats can be very vocal. Or you may justy have a chatty cat. Your vet will check her out properly but i wouldn't worry too much

maybe the kitten just likes to meow... give it a couple days to explore and adjust to the house... it might have to do with the cold.... just give him/her a lot of attention until he/she adjusts to his/her new surroundings.

some cats just meow alot, but it could be resulting from the cold.

He is still stressed and scared. He will stop after a few days. Just deal with his cold, he may need treatment.

He's telling you that he's confused. Mine did the same thing for WEEKS. Now he does it when he wants attention.
