many christians were quick to point out that he isn't a 'real christian' I was also told the same thing when priests do evil. It seems like anyone who does evil who is a christian isn't a 'real christian'!! Why is this? I thought all men are sinners? Also why do some christians go on about muslim extremists? They are not muslim? They are not real ones.....

Anna Noca-They never tire of pointing out that the Jesuit Trained Priest, Joseph Stalin, was an evil atheist.
It gets a bit bizarre.

You are trying to understand why they use the "No True Scotsman," argument.
Well what is there to say. If you point out that Hitler was a Christian they must deny it or face guilt by association. They want to use the guilt by association when they think they can get away with it though.
They never tire of pointing out that the Jesuit Trained Priest, Joseph Stalin, was an evil atheist.

Hey, Meat, so you admit I am right! On both counts!

I think some people are a little quick to judge. I don't see anything that would lead me to say Bush isn't a Christian. He may be mistaken about Iraq but that doesn't mean he's not a Christian. The problem with priests is that Catholicism and its man-made add-on rules for Christianity have put men into situations where temptation and sin is much stronger. Forcing men to live celibate lives when they're not made to do so is wrong.

Truth be told we all don't understand each other to the full extent. It is not right to call someone not a "real Christian" because they may have sinned or haven't made a right decision somewhere down the line. Anyone who believes in Christ being their savior is a Christian. True Christians are those who believe that. We don't have a right to judge the motives of others. Point blank...

Because everyone gets to define 'real Christianity'
If I don't like someone I can say, well they aren't a real Christian, but by doing so, I am judging them and claiming they are going to hell.
The 'real christian' argument doesn't work, because the people being accused of it would vehemently disagree.

I believe He is Christian He is the most praying President. Read His Book. Um, July 4th '06 he had Christian Musicians rocked out at the White House.
Man/Woman are human beings we are going to make mistakes but I believe we have to learn from them and its better if you learn from other peoples mistakes. THANK GOD he is a merciful Being unlike us Humans.
But God gave us CHOICES- a free will- We'll Either turn from our wicked ways or not.PERIOD

Lil Me: "..but sinful acts are not part of being a true Christian."
Well according to all Christain churches almost everything in this life is sinful. If you've EVER lied: you've sinned. If you've EVER lusted after another: you've sinned. Plus any number of other normal things that are considered sinful.
Therefore by your assumption, noone is a "true Christian". Interesting.

lol, i don't see how he's evil.. is it because he commanded his armies to go to war? i hate to say it, everyone dies. tell me, everytime a human sees pain, suffering, death especially on a large scale like war, a person feels sorrow and then love of family and neighbor. with out war with out hate, we would have no loss, and an easy love comes from the fear of loss. yes all people are sinners, we have both God and Devil in our hearts. maybe the christians that say Bush isn't one, aren't true christians themselves. i don't know maybe i'm just being childish

Professions means nothing. Actions speak louder than words. Bush can say he's a christian all he wants but if his actions go contrary to what the scriptures says, then he's not a believer in christ. He's a hypocrite.

Because real Christianity does not praise sinful acts. Of course they can ask for forgiveness, but sinful acts are not part of being a true Christian. And I don't go on about Muslim extremists because they are not true Muslims.
