Limewire is not freeware or shareware. Its P2P and what you are downloading is illegal since 99.999999% of all the stuff limewire makes available is copywritten.

If you want to download freeware and shareware go to www.download.com

The site has everything you want and 100% legal.

Depends what you want to do, there are torrent agents such as Bitlord, (www.bitlord.com)

you download a torrent file from a website www.torrentz.com

this then accesses the torrent program and downloads the main file such as a album from a server,

I find the torrents a lot more reliable, and you can download in full instead of single tracks (do it legally mid ;) )

hope this helps

I use blubster. It takes seconds to download music and clips.. downside, you can't download videos.
