First of all, Jack Roush has until 2010 (he can run the 2009 season with 5 teams) to get his 5 team operation down to 4 teams. Second, Greg Biffle is under contract (though he didn't get an EXTENSION worked out) THROUGH 2008 and just announced a sponsor for next year. That's all I've got.

The last I heard, Biffle and Roush had called off contract negotiations for now, so as of right now I'd have to say Biffle is the one that will be gone. Otherwise, I'd go with Ragan.

Roush was grandfathered in for this rule. They do not have to contract down to 4 teams till 2009 at the earliest. Therefore all 5 drivers could still be with the team next year.

Yep. Probably David Ragan. I seen Biffle, give his new sponsor, on Speed last night. The way I took it, Biffle signed and will be sponsored by Nintendo Wii.

The management was fearing "super" teams of 5-6 cars, with deals with the smaller teams for engines, etc. - which basically makes the smaller teams "minor-league" affiliates to the wealthier teams. Roush complained that he was being tageted when the rule was announced several years ago....Biffle may be headed - surprisingly - to DEI.

I must have missed something, cuz i thought Biffle renewed for one more year, he says hes not going anywhere, but they always say that.
David Ragan will get tossed, he wrecks too much.
McMurray will move on to bigger and better things too.
Biffle will move on too, it they didn't renew.
I think Kenseth and Edwards are happy campers.

Even though he's the "top guy" according to Roush, I think the Biff is out and Kenseth assumes the role he should have gotten!

I am guessing Biffle since he hasn't renewed contract, but if he does it will be Ragan.
