Either they are actually looking for something to believe in, they have nothing better to do than look for vulnerable people who they can try to convince that God doesn't exist, or they just enjoy stalking and ridiculing Christians with derogatory comments. (Or any combination of those three.)

Wow I have been on Y/A for just an hour and the mundane SAME questions are already repeating themselves. Seriously guys, the circular logic and the repeating of the same 10 questions really show how ignorant and programmed you are. Quit being sheeple and try to use that brain and kick start some creativity.

Because it's a place to discuss the TOPICS of Religion and Spirituality, NOT a church. Atheists are some of the MOST spiritual people on the planet. Look around - people keep asking questions about atheism. Someone has to answer them intelligently.

Atheist believe the reality. See all the creatures are argueing for some uncertain things; there is god, there is no god, the egg first, the chicken first, etc etc. The aim point is how to lead them out, how to help them release. As buda said, don't trust me, proof yourself.

Spirituality has unfortunately been thrown in with religion, so where else can a spiritual atheist go on YA? Are they looking for something-are you joking or what?

There are many negative impacts of religion on the world (ignorance, violence, prejudice, etc.) and atheists are attempting to mitigate that.
Good decisions by society rely on having an accurate assessment of the truth and religion prevents that.

I'm looking for nothing to believe in. I'm fine without it I think.
I can see from someone who DOES follow a religion's perspective, it's be nice to have something to follow.
But for me? Not so much.

If you don't like it, do what other christians have done before you: just block everyone except your contacts, and you'll have your own nice, cosy little customised forum where you'll never have to read anything that might interfere with your deluded fantasies.

I think that is a fair question.
I am interested in the answer as well. Even though some of my friends and family members are Atheists, I am frequently puzzled by their train of thought and reason. Love em...just don't really understand em.
Fortunately we have a detente
