I feel that all people should be DNA tested, if only to prove our mothers were telling the truth as to who our fathers are. If it became law I'd bet there would be a lot of shitty knickers around. What da ya tink folks?

This is to all of you: I ask the question because I think it is better to know the truth than to live with the lie, it is irrelevant who's feeling get hurt if the truth comes out.`

Not every woman is a liar. Are you asking because you don't know who your father is? If that's the case, then go ask your mother. There are so many laws and rules and sh*t now, that making one more is going over the line. There is no way that paternity will tested for all women. Unfortunately some women are very deceptive, but so can a lot of men be. And a lot more women that I know, including myself, know very well who is the father of their children. Though you have a good question, I believe there is going to be no way to have everyone tested. It's ludicrous.

If a man wants a DNA test then he has the rights to make that happen right? I think thats good enough. How about we make a law where before people get married they have to take a lie detector test to make sure they have not already cheated??? Because people have the right to make their own decisions. If I was a man I would however request a DNA test unless I was married and trusted her 100%. Plus the DNA test cost money and if you trust ur women and know its your baby why would you want to flush money down the drain. If that was the law I think the divorce rate would go up or something and it would save alot of pain for the child in later years if they would happen to find out their dad isnt their dad.

I"tink" that if this is the best reason for getting every body dna tested then you must have doubts about the validity of your birth records
This seems to be a bit of an odd question to ask really because it's the kind of thing that doesn't spring into everybody's mind.
I'd like to know where you got your statistics of 1 in 7 misattributed paternity cases when it actually stands at just over 1% of the population. So leave tattylashes alone she's my friend.

i think it should be a free service to people who have a very valid reason for questioning their paternity. if the reason is not valid, then it should be a chargable service. its disgusting when you get these young mothers on programs like jeremy kyle totally showing themselves up cos they don't know who the father of their child is. not only are they risking falling pregnant when they sleep with a few different men, but some STI's are transmitted to the fetus. so not only might you have a newborn with a mutlichoice of dads, but a newborn with medical problems cos all the mother thought about was getting laid.

What do you get if you know the truth. Still you continue to be the same person. Thank the people who have given you this opportunity to see the world, instead. Your birth is not an end, it is just the beginning of an end.

enjoy whatever DNA's you have in yourself.
after all it wont matter if you knew if he's your father or not. when you raise your kids, tell them the truth and with that move you begun cutting the line of NOT TELLING THE TRUTH in your family tree.

if your in doubt of your paternity why not let it stop as it is because if you found the man you always knew as Dad infact wasn't then your feelings towards your Mum would turn hostile and even break the family up

I would never insult my mother with that question! If she cheated and my dad wasn't my dad - she certainly would have told me. Not to mention the fact that my dad would have told me too.

why should EVERY person need to be tested? MOST women know who the fathers are to their kids, well i do anyway...i know that my sons all have the same father, so theres no need for me to do that
