That is not true. It is very healthy and wise to drink while you eat because water lubricates the digestive track. This helps the food in the digestion process.
The rich traditioally eat their meals then drink water after the fact. Ironically, they do not wait to drink their wine after the fact.
Drink while you eat, and do not listen to the dumb stuff!

Bad as opposed to what? Soda loaded with chemicals and high fructose corn syrup? "Health" drinks fortified with vitamins and stuff? I drink almost nothing but filtered tap water, even with meals. I also drink orange juice, soy milk and occasionally coffee and diet Sierra Mist when my hear burn is getting way to annoying and I'm not going to be home where I can suffer in comfort. I have no digestional problems, with the exception of the heartburn, which is just a side product of six and a half months of pregnancy.

A small quantity is ok to aid digestion particularly if ur food is dry.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%. Chew each morsel at least 32 times to activate ur body to generate signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry.

depends on your body..
I'd recommend eating and then 30 minutes after your meal to drink your water... only because the water can contribute to food expansion and give you the feeling of being full...
either way.. its not bad... but how do you want to feel...?
also its best to drink room temp water as its easily absorbed by the body, ice water isn't as nice to the body...
