what makes a graphical user interface user-friendly?

because you can see what your doing... rather than typing text on a command line your pointing and clicking on what you want to do....

User friendly means this to me: 1. Well bebugged and idiot proof(don't allow simple mistakes to crash your program) 2. Easy to understand( after writing your program consider using it as if you were someone whom has never seen it before don't just assume everyone knows what your program is thinking or talking about) 3. Last but not least is context help(be sure to provide plentty of help for your users it is almost a certainty that someone will become confused about somthing so make sure your app is well documented
