I know someone who's 34 who plays guitar in a band. If you enjoy it, you're never too old. For just one example, look at Aerosmith's Steven Tyler - who's 59 and still playing.

You're never too old. Look at all the bands from the 60's that are still performing. I'm 37 and want to do the same thing but I don't have anywhere to set up a drum kit. I've resigned myself to the fact that I have to wait until I get a bigger place before I can do that, and that could be years.

I don't think 27 is too old at all! Have fun with it! Some of the great stars are WAY over 27 and STILL rocking outt. Enjoy playing your music!

If 27 is too old to play in a band .. then there are a lot of really great rock stars who should have hung up their gear years ago. If you enjoy it .. then do it!

Whatever floats your boat. There is no such thing as being too old to play music in a band. However, if one is mature one might tend to avoid troublesome places. It would be foolish to enter places that you know would get you into the middle of trouble.

Are you kidding me, most don't even start until their that age. It takes years to learn to play, so most people are in their twenty's before they even start. Look how old Stephen King, the writer was when he started his band, your never too old for anything that you want to do. Most rockers are in their forty's, fifty's, and sixty's. Check most of the bands out there, most of them are grandfathers, your just a baby. Go for it, and good luck. !!!!!!!!!
