Your dog loves you! My dog licked my ear and loves chewing on my hand.

Sorry but I don't agree with most of the answers. When a Dog licks you,yes they are kisses, but when he/she nibbles, they either want to play or want your attention in some other way. Nibbling may be fine early on when they are young, but if allowed to carry on doing it,it could really hurt you or somebody else one day. I hope this helps. All the best.

Yes!! When a dog licks your hand, it means they like you. And if the dog is only nibbling your thumb and nose I think that means they want to play with you.

They lick you and nibble because they love you. Unfortunately not all people like other people's dogs doing this. It's hard to teach them only to "greet" or play with you this way and not with other's. I'm trying to discourage my dogs from this behaviour because of this.
Something to think about.
Good luck.

Yep!! both of my dogs do this. My lab likes to nibble on your ears. I will give them both a kiss and they instantly like (or try to) like me back. I can even tell them "give me a kiss" and they will kiss my chin. I have got them trained to kiss my chin so they don't give me a bath :)

There could be two reasons for this behaviour. The first is that the dog is licking the salts from your skin and the second reason is that the dog has just been licking it's rear end and / or it's external organs and wants you to smell of them LOL

It's actually submissive behaviour showing affection. So yeah, it's the doggy equivilant of kisses.

have been eating some thing relatively tasty? would desire to be that he became in simple terms relatively happy to be loose and getting your interest and affection! sounds like a fortunate puppy! take exhilaration in the little critter!

Dogs aren't humans - they don't kiss.
Smelling and licking is how they sense things in their environment. Or it could be she is just greeting you.
