My computer has a certain media software as part of my OS... its capable of receiving FM radio and television broadcasts... and I hook up the appropriate antennas to the computer hardware. Its not via the internet.... its straight TV and radio... just through the computer.

You can purchase TV cards that have FM tuners built in to them.
Typical cost is $30-$150 depending on the features you want.

Google your local station - often they offer free streaming. No software required!

sometimes you dont need a software to do it.just go to the website of the radio station.sometimes they let you listen from there :)

just go to your favourite FM stations website and most of them allow u to listen to them online, or you can listen to past shows and some of even allow you to download podcasts(highlights of sum if the weeks shows), for example check this out ... xXx ...

look if can be listened online
the equipment will be more expensive than if you buy a radio,no software required(maybe real player(free))
