The defence ie killer weapon companies of death and mutilation, gun running and helping evil dictators maintain power to torture and muder and oppress people;
Whilst many other companies like Tesco and primark make their profits by running sweat shops where people are forced to work 80 hour weeks for 4 pence an hour with physical and sexaul violence threats constantly there with no unuions and sick leave results in loss of only income in the way or starvation.

by legal I mean not including trafficing or pimpiing or underage.
ie no force or abuse.

Practice safe sex, are clean, everything is consentual and boss ok and not involved in children being given ak47 assult rifels to mutilate and and murder people, with no slave like factories of abuse and no invading other countires to oppress them.
Why is being a stripper/pole dancer. Basically a keep you fit job where you entertain and give a little comfort to lonely people or fleece guys with more money then brains.
Porn models where they are only having sex like married couples only in postions for the cameras and lasting longer.
Nude models just strip, and even hookers for the most part are being rent a girlfriend for the lonley.
Why are they seen as immoral, lacking self respect? and mistreated?

One very simple answer and that is that the major world religions have, amongst other things, an inherently oppressive and unequal (in some ways) view of and methodology for the interaction in society of WOMEN. Christianity, Islam, and Judaism all come from the same culture and time an place in the world, where the culture is dominated by males. Even in the United States, one of the earliest bastions of (supposedley) rational government, women were treated as property in the colonial period. The majority of the world has a huge hang up on sex, and it has to do with women.
And as far as why are those industries not treated as evil whilst prostitution is, aside from my above statement (hardly very refutable), well...I think Macchiavelli summed it up best: "You can deprive a man of his wife, his children, and his father, and he will not rise up against you;it is only if you take his property" (from The Prince)

Whether the points you've raised are true or not (and I would suggest they probably happen more then anyone would admit) thats just the point. No-one has to admit this stuff happens, because its not seen.
People have a lot of hang ups about sex, particularly out here in the UK, and I guess they like to point at people having sex for money and tell them they're wrong. Possibly because they're jealous and want some for themselves. Besides, the women in the sex industry are clearly enjoying themselves, and this goes against all suggestion in religion that sex is for the continuation of the species only. The sex industry as a whole is all about the pleasure and gratification of the act.

To answer it, all the trades you mention are equally immoral: any trade that exploits people (such as the sex trade or sweated labour) or that produces material designed to harm lives (eg, arms, tobacco, alcohol) is a slur on human society.
we tend to pick and choose the things we oppose because of our own lifestyle. eg a teetotaller who vists brothels may speak out against the drink trade (which, to be fair, probaby kills more than any other) but be hush-hush about sexual exploitation (a high proportion of girls...and boys...in the sex trade have been trafficked) whereasw someone who has suffered from the sex industry but takes alcohol may do just the opposite. That is all part of fallen human nature....what needs to be tackled is humanity's inhumanity to humanity in every shape and form.

Anytime anyone does anything contrary to the teachings of the bible, it is immoral. Regardless of what it is. Sex is just one of the immoral acts that is in our face constantly right here in the US. So, since it affects us, our families, our loved ones, and our friends, we speak out against it more than those immoral acts that don't affect us as much.
