I live in brooklyn ny and a friend of mine moved to trenton nj a few months ago. I want to pay him a visit this summer but i'm not exactly sure what train at what station to take to get there.

Get NJ Transit at Port Authority or Penn Station.

I believe that Trenton is on the Northeast Corridor on NJ Transit. You can get that right from Penn Station in New York City.
