I am only 115 or 120 pounds but I notice I am gaining a little weight. Unfortunately I don't like it because I would rather gain weight in mussel. The problem is... I am always hungry or have an appetite. I always want to eat something. Is there anything to curve my appetite and when I work out it just makes me hungrier?

Also I am 18 so I stopped growing already

For example I just ate an omlet 2 hrs. ago and I already am hungry

A lot of times, the feeling of hunger is missread by the brain and it really means thirsty! Water or juice is good, but not soda because that just adds on the callories and suger, which turns to fat.

Some fat is good, but its those transfatty fats that you gotta watch out for. They are the ones that cause celulite build up and they are hard to break down. Peanut butter is a good source of GOOD fats as well as protein for healthy mustles.

Working out is fantastic! But it does little good if you don't eat right. For instance, cook yourself up a nice saute of veggies or make a healthy wrap or salad. Fruits are excellent too (they have natural sugers that are good for you)! If you eat meats, make sure they are the less fatty kinds. It may cost more, but that may just cover the cost of a beautiful and healthy figure.

Last but not least, sleep! Everybody needs their "beauty sleep" and for a good reason. Stats show that sleeping burns more callories than watching television (not to mention healthier for the eyes). I'm pretty sure that sleep deprivation is a donator to the cause of the "freshman fifteen" I'm sure you've heard of. Sleep may not be something you can always get your hands on so rest up while you can!

I don't know the author of this quote but it is a good one: "Nothing tastes as good as being healthy feels!" Its true! You will be more energetic, satisfied, and happy as a healthy, fit person.

Well, let's see...

Lots of simple GOOD ideas that do work, BUT what you have to do is to make new habits for yourself. Work hard on these for a month or two, and they will become your new style, and will become effortless.

First, no more white sugar. Period. It is empty calories. Second, as others suggested, 4 to 6 small meals a day, not 2 or 3 big ones, and make sure you eat breakfast, a small breakfast. Third, no more white bread. Next time you are at a grocery store, look at the bread wrappers for ingredients, any that have suger or corn-syrup, or high-frutcose corn-syrup are BAD for your body. Look for breads that use molasses or raisen-juice for a sweetener; much more healthy. Fourth; more fruits and colorful vegitables! Hard to eat TOO many, so eat some at every meal/snack. Fifth; eat real food, that is fresh or raw fruits, vegtables, raw nuts and whole grains. The more the food has been processed, the less good it will do a human body. Eat brown rice, not white rice. Eat whole grain pastas.

You get the idea. Oh, and the human body keeps growing a little bit until around age 23 to 25.

Good Luck :)

There are several things you can do. Whenever you feel like eating, first drink a glass of water. It can take the edge off and help you feel less hungry. Make sure that you eat slowly, and pay attention to what you're doing-sometimes it can take a while for your body to realize that it's full, and if you eat too fast, you can end up overeating. Eat things that have a lot of fiber in them-they can help fill you up and keep you full longer. Things like apples, carrots, celery, and high fiber cereal are good examples. Also, it can help to take up a hobby to keep busy-sometimes people end up eating because they are bored, or stressed. If you're reaching for a snack, and you're not sure if you're actually hungry or just eating out of boredom, wait to eat until you actually feel your stomach growling. Good luck

If you are eating real food as in fresh raw fruits and veg-tables and some raw nuts and a few whole grains then you will be satisfying your appetite, but if you are eating process foods and a lot of junk foods then you will always be hungry due to the fact that your body is not getting the real food it is designed to have. So eat real food in a simple way and your problem will be solved! Also your body needs a daily supple of excercise and fresh air and fresh water as its food! Good Luck!

You're THIRSTY, not hungry. Drink lots of water. Also, you may be neglecting your body of what type of food it really desires and needs for empty calorie/nutritional foods. Learn more about diet and nutrition. Believe it or not, L.L. Cool J (James Todd Smith) has an AWESOME book on food and nutrition out right now written with trainers, dieticians, doctors and many experts in the field. ACTUALLY, eating every 2 hours is better than 3 meals per day, so LISTEN TO YOUR BODY, Silly Girl. It's a smart machine.

Peace and blessings.

oh that happens to me a lot! I weigh about the same as you and i'm 19. I dont know what it is, but maybe you're about to get your period? or maybe its because of stress or a certain issue thats been bothering you. b/c i use to want to eat a lot when i was going through finals or going through stress with school or friends. Something that really helps me is i drink a lot of water and whenever you're hungry, just eat a lot of fruits that way at least you're eating healthy! My cravings have really stopped and i dont eat as much but within the past yr i gained 5lbs b/c of so much eating. =[ I would say you should work out at the gym, but honestly, it just made me more hungry!

If you eat lots of veggies with your omelet, you wouldn't be so hungry 2 hours later. In between small meals, eat some healthy snacks.
