As far as I know Jehad is a battle against dark, unfair and against those people who never respect muslims. but in India every people whether they belong to any of religions , love each other.

The Western Media has caused the west to believe in their point of view, and only giving one side of the story blinds the people viewing: that is almost everybody. It has made its "victims" extremely ignorant, and I am truly proud of those who see through its schemes. The Media has forced its viewers to believe that Islam is a violent, bloody, intolerant religion, but in reality this is actually the opposite. If people would stop accepting their television sets as their teachers, more people would know the actual truth about Islam. The Media reports misleading stories, gross exaggerations, inaccurate information, and false statements about Islams and Muslims to undermine the religion, and unfortunately, this propaganda is a success--many many Americans believe everything they hear on the news or read in the newspaper. What they fail to realize is that what they read/hear is only one point of view of a bias Media that has been criticizing Muslims with false information vigorously since 9/11.

Terrorism is CONDEMNED in Islam; it is not allowed, period. Neither is innocent murder, suicide of any kind, forced marriages or forced conversions. These are all misleading fabrications composed by the Media. You can't always believe what you hear.

Terrorists are not true Muslims; they use Islam as a mask to cover up their dirty work, and give Islam a bad name. It is not fair for the majority of Muslims, who oppose terrorism and denounce violence that is occurring. Unfortunately, the Media will never let this be known, making it look like Muslims support these radical actions, when in reality they absolutely do not.

Most of them dont understand that jihad should be against poverty, exploitation, ignorance, suppression, disease, illiteracy, superstition etc and not against those who do not fall in line with what the mullahs say. They are truly ignorant and therefore thoroughly misguided by the evil clergy. They are not bad people. They are as human as any of us. No Muslim will attack a terrorist. In India have you come across any Muslim or Muslim leaders or the maulanas say anything if the terrorists kill Hindus. The reason lies in the origin of a religious and its spread. Islam was born out of violence and spread with the might of sword and fire. Wherever Islam went it left a trail of destruction and fire in its wake. So a religion based on violence is likely to teach its people to be violent and be of destructive mentality whenever and wherever an opportunity so arises they are in the forefront irrespective of a country or a governing system.

Those Muslims who blow themselves up does not represent majority of the Muslims and definitely does not represent Islam. They use religion as an excuse to fight their political battles. In the Quran it says you are allowed to defend yourself, for example, if someone is holding a gun and shoots you in the leg, you are allowed to shoot them in the leg back but you are not allowed to openly attack anyone with violence. In the Quran it says 'if you have taken one life you have taken the whole of humanity' so killing innocent people is strictly forbidden in Islam. Also, Jihad means in Arabic 'to strive or gain something for God'. It does not involve blowing yourself up. Islam is a religion of peace.
Anyway I can say the same about Christianity, George Bush, who claims to be a Christian has bombed Afghanistan, supplies nuclear weapons to Israel to kill Palestinians and invaded Iraq which has killed more people than Saddam Hussein ever did. So does that mean that I can say Christianity promotes violence? Of course not, because George Bush does not represent majority of the Christians or Christianity. Judge a religion by its teachings and not its followers. I'm assuming you haven't read the Quran so you can't make an accurate judgement on it.

I found this on Yahoo answers and thought i can educate people on some information. Now there is an element of truth hidden as to why muslims behave this way. Belief molds behavior and its the truth, we all behave based on what we believe in as truth.

Kill disbelievers:
Sura 2:191. Permission for a Muslim man to beat his wife if she doesn't obey him:

Please know that even if one percent of the Muslims were terrorists, that would make 14 million terrorists. In fact only 19 men committed 911 and if you add all the recorded terrorist incidents in the 20th century, that number does not add up. So, it is wrong to lay the blame of what less than a fraction of one percent do on 99.9 percent of a people.

Please know that Stalin killed 20 million people, no one holds all Russians or Orthodox Christians responsible. World War Two caused the death of 60 million and no one calls Christians terrorists. Pol Pot killed one million of his own people no one calls Budhists terrorists. Mao killed millions of Chinese. Even the United States bombed Hiroshima and Nagasaki which killed more victims in a few moments than the murder of all the terrorists that we know today.

It is all perception in my view. It is wrong to lay the blame of criminals on Islam. When the Irish Republican Army was bombing London, no one called them Catholic terrorists. They were doing wrong and they were acting out of the political conditions they were under and had nothing to do with their faith, although all IRA terrorists were Catholics. The Unionists were doing the same and no one called them Protestant or Anglican terrorists.

Terrorists in my view are created under two conditions. First, some people go berserk when they are subjected to wars and conflicts in their regions and get totally frustrated to the point of going crazy when deaths of their immediate relatives and friends take place and no one cares for their deaths. Such people have serious psychological problems and in most cases are clinically insane. When Tim McVeigh killed the innocent in Oklahoma, to "avenge" the killings of eighty persons at Waco, it is obvious to anyone who is reasonable that the man had gone nuts. No one said Tim was a Christian terrorist.

Then you have the second category of terrorists created by ruthless men who take young and generally ignorant or illiterate boys and turn them into terrorists for political reasons. Such people do not care for right or wrong and are only dedicated to their own cause and usually are extremely corrupt or totally deranged.

In one case at least, I was surprised to learn that Israel had supported the creation of Muslim terrorists. This is recorded in a book by Mr. David K. Shipler (himself Jewish) who mentions in his book Arab and Jew, Wounded Souls in a Promised Land that Israel had a secret budget to support Muslim extremists. He was discussing this with an Israeli general. In a way it makes sense to have Islamic terrorists, whose actions create friends for Israel. I do not know if this is wide spread or was an isolated situation. There are also proofs that the United States supported Taliban at one point.

It is clear to me that Muslim terrorists hurt Islam and there is no doubt about that.
