Monkey surrounded by tons of bananas. Heaven is what a monkey called it.

So are we born sinners then?

Yes, I read it somewhere that original sin is not in the Bible but some say that we are born sinners. Which view should I use?

People are born with a bent toward sin and rebellion.
Jesus said: "You must be born again."
People are sinners, but through Christ they are redeemable.

Is original sin in the Bible?
Paul says this:

"Therefore, just as sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin, and in this way death came to all men, because all sinned— for before the law was given, sin was in the world. But sin is not taken into account when there is no law. Nevertheless, death reigned from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin by breaking a command, as did Adam, who was a pattern of the one to come.
But the gift is not like the trespass. For if the many died by the trespass of the one man, how much more did God's grace and the gift that came by the grace of the one man, Jesus Christ, overflow to the many! Again, the gift of God is not like the result of the one man's sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification. For if, by the trespass of the one man, death reigned through that one man, how much more will those who receive God's abundant provision of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one man, Jesus Christ.
Consequently, just as the result of one trespass was condemnation for all men, so also the result of one act of righteousness was justification that brings life for all men. For just as through the disobedience of the one man the many were made sinners, so also through the obedience of the one man the many will be made righteous."

Romans 5:12-19

I should note the death spoken of in the above passages is not physical death but spiritual death, or separation from God.

Paul goes on to speak in the next three chapters of the "old man", "the body of sin" ,"the flesh", "the body of this death", "sinful flesh" (Greek: "the flesh of sin")- all terms referring to the fallen nature of man and set in contradistinction to "the spirit" in chapter 8.

People, ever since the fall of Adam and Eve, are all born into sin...When you take your first breath you're already a sinner and condemned to hell...How do you like that for a fresh start in life?...But, it's true, you can read that in the Bible...

God Love's us, His wish is that none should perish and that all mankind will turn to Him. He created us, He loves us and no one on this earth will ever love you more than He does. He's the creator of love...God knows our hearts are full of evil, but He loves us anyway, in fact, He sent His Son to die for your sins and mine.

If you had a child and he did some bad things, wouldn't you love him anyway?...Wouldn't you still punish him for doing wrong?...If you were a fair parent you would, especially if you have other siblings. You would have to punish the bad one for both his sake and for the sake of his siblings. We must all know that doing wrong things have consequences and those consequences must be fulfilled in order to be a fair, honest, loving parent. That's what God is...

We keep producing because that's what God designed us for, He says in His word to 'Go out and multiply'...He wants us all to serve Him and to tell others about Him before the Lord Jesus Christ comes back in order that all may be saved...

Everyone knows that passages can be found in the Bible that seem to justify all kinds of crazy ideas, many of which are profoundly wrong. I think you should be aware that when someone tries to give authority to an idea by quoting an isolated text from the Bible they are trying to hoodwink you, assuming that you are stupid enough to think that any phrase or idea that can be found in the Bible must be true. This is supersticious nonesense, and is deeply irreligious.

However, certain religious traditions have interpreted the Bible in definite ways which make up particular systems of theology or religious belief. Within the different strands of Christianity these interpretations are often significantly different from each other.

Within the Catholic church people are seen as basically good, and are loved by God; this is an interpretation of the Genesis passage that says that after the acts of creation God said that all of his work was good.

However, people have used the freedom that God has given them in bad ways, in order to do bad things. This is an interpretation of the Genesis story of the fall of Adam and Eve, and their being thrown out of the garden of Eden. People are supposed to have 'inherited' this tendencey to turn away from God as 'original sin'. But the 'genetic' idea of original sin is seen as a metaphore - no one believes that Adam and Eve were real people or that original sin is really inherited. These are metaphors for people in general, and the tendency of human society to tolerate immorality and perpetuate it through the generations.

But this is not the end of the story - God wants to restore people to the original friendship with him illustrated in the Genesis story of Adam and Eve walking naked with him in Eden (i.e. hiding nothing from him). According to Christianity, this restoration is brought about by incorporation into the body of Christ - 'As in Adam all have sinned, so in Christ all are redeemed'.

'Why do we reproduce then ?'. According to the Genesis story, Adam and Eve were commanded to 'go forth and multiply' after the fall. You could argue that their sin brought death, implying that they were immortal previously, so you could theorise that reproduction is a way of maintaining humanity in the face of mortality, and that reproduction is therefore is a consequence of the fall. But this seems fanciful to me.

I think at this point we are asking the kind of question that cannot be properly answered by a religious theory. A much more simple and obvious answer is that if we did not reproduce, the human race would die out in one generation, and would cease to exist. So the only kind of organisms that you will find in the world is that which reproduces. This is a hard fact, and any theology you like to invent or subscribe to must be constructed around that kind of unavoidable reality.

First of all the term "Original Sin" is not in the Bible, but Original Sin itself IS in the Bible. Original Sin, as the term suggests, is the first sin ever committed and this sin was committed by Adam and Eve when they disobeyed God and ate the fruit of the tree of knowledge. Original sin, then, is disobedience and this is the origin of all sin.

It is because of knowledge of good and evil that man has a capacity for both good and evil. Given that evil has a capacity for self-destruction, I would not recommend it.

If you bother to read the Bible (Genesis chapter three) you will discover that original sin has bog all to do with sex. Further sex is not sinful - it is the abuse of sex, especially outside of marriage that is sinful.

Ever heard of Adam or Eve. The bible in Genesis gives a good account of original sin.
Sin nature is all through the book.
Maybe you should look for yourself instead of listening to what the world says.

This is a good, but complex question. I have a nearly 2100 page book that would be of help to some on this, if they were to read it many times over the years.

Very simply put here:

The Good News of Jesus Christ is that each and every human person now living on this planet, or has lived after May 18, AD30, is now a Divinely Beloved son of God in Jesus our Creator Son of God ! Be now the son of God, in Truth, that you are ! Thank You our True Father God ! All will ascend into the next higher Heaven and later perfect judgment.

Another complex error is that there was a "fall of man" and a "big flood to wipe out all of God's alleged mistakes ! " Hogwash and rot ! There was a real fall of some super-human Sons and angels of God that has caused all of mankind, even today, much trouble as a planetary Godly society. Never was there a big flood --God is perfect, and He never makes any errors ! Believe that Truth !!!

Now, some wise person here has already commented that babies are very selfish and would kill you for a cookie or milk if they could. That's OK -- a necessary part of God's Plan ! Why ?

"I AM the Almighty God; walk before Me and
Be you perfect; even as I AM perfect." "Follow Jesus"

This loving Invitation-Command to Be Perfect strongly implies that we each start our here as IMPERFECT Humans. God has put his pure spirit Gift of his will within your mind; and our Creator Son Jesus has put his Almighty Father-Son Spirit of Truth lovingly upon all flesh ! Thirdly, the Holy Spirit Partner of Jesus and God always surrounds you, and is also within you in/as many complex levels -- physical, mental, soul, Spirit. Your personality is a direct Gift from God the Paradise Father-Infinite I AM. "I am of I AM"

It is not where we start out that is as important as where and how we will each BE someDay in God in Paradise-Eternity ! What a wonderful and Glorious Destiny each one of us has ! Thanks to Jesus Christ our Real Savior ! and fully our God !

Making more Children is very important. The religion here which has the most Children per family (on average) will eventually be the mandated One World Religion. The score today is Christians 2.5 billion and growing Islamics 1.3 billion and growing; all the rest are far behind and fading fast. For example, there are only about 12 million religious Jews now. If you don't have the drive and ability to be a good father or mother of many; you are just inferior in some ways, hopefully not your fault. Don't worry about over-population. The science of DNA eugenics and better legislation will take care of that.

Sorry for such a condensed reply -- thousands of pages are needed to begin to cover this broad topic. Email me if you want more.

Peace and progress,

Because the Bible tells us to. The very first humans - Adam & Eve - let God down by choosing to disobey Him. He gave them the right to make that choice because He wanted them to freely love Him, not because they HAD TO. How valuable would it be to you if your husband or wife had no choice but to love you? The good news is that even though Adam & Eve fell & we became sinful God STILL made a way for us to return to Him through the sacrifice of His only Son Jesus Christ on the cross. Today we still have that choice to make - love Him & choose life or refuse Him & choose death. And God still shows His hope in His creation by allowing us to reproduce.

EDIT: YES! We are ALL sinners.
Romans 3:22-24
22 "This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus."

We reproduce because we enjoy sex. You don't have to be bad to enjoy sex. We are born with 'original sin' which we inherited from Adam and Eve. They sinned by eating from the tree of good and evil when God told them not to do that. We are their children and we inherit that sin. We have the knowledge of right and wrong taught to us by our parents.

According to the Bible we are sinners and when we do what "god" wants we are going against our human nature. No wonder christians think you cannot have morals without religion.

Be fruitful and multiply(do work and have babies) were commandments (not the most famous 10-commandments) given by God to Adam and Eve. We (humans) are born into sin (disobedience to God).
