I have bought three pairs of leather heels for $20.00. they did not squeak when you walk in them. Cheap shoes skeak. The clothing is not in poor quality. I have brought blouses annd washed them a few times and they are still in great shape. I have also bought jeans, that is were I had a problem. A lot of jeans were irregular that means there is a defect so the major store sold them to outlet buyer and now they sell them in the garment district. They won't tell you that they are defects. The only store that will tell you that their jeans are defected are the stores that sells Levis. The leather coats are perfect. I have bought three a short coat, a maxi coat and one to the knee. I spent $400 for all three coats. Perfect leather. You can find plenty of t-shirts downtown. Go shopping on San Pedro Street between 8th and 11th Street. Not crowded and a lot of shops. Try the Alley on Santee Street but watch out for bootleg items there.
