1. The world does revolve around us... We pick the coordinate system.
2. Find out what those other buttons on your calculator do.
3. We know how to handle stress and strain in our relationships.
4. Parents will approve.
5. Help with your math homework.
6. Can calculate head pressure.
7. Looks good on a resume.
8. Free body diagrams.
9. High starting salary.
10. Extremely good looking

Engineers tend to have a bad stereotype. Not all engineers are nerdy and not sociable.
Anyways, engineering is, well, everything. It is the application of math and science and technology to help improve the world we live in, whether increasing the number of luxuries available to us, or finding a way to feed more people more efficiently.
Engineering is such a wide field that can deal with making limbs for those who lost their own during a war or deal with the space ship that goes off to take more photos of the solar system. Engineers are able to look at a problem and create something that will solve that problem while hopefully taking into consideration the consequences of their actions.

If your using a computer thank and engineer. If your clothes are washed in a machine thank and engineer. If you buy your food thank an engineer. If you don't sleep on the cold ground thank and engineer. Engineers have brought us out of the stone age. If you wish to see how life would be without and engineer go to some desolate village in Africa or Asia.
Engineers have made your life better. If you don't believe me go live in some desolate village!

Most of them aren't great. Excepting doctors, the Professional Engineers are the biggest bunch of phonies ever classified under one label.

As in any other field, some engineers are great, some are awful, and most are in-between.

unlike them AA general degree people, we solve problems, not memorize vocab s h i t off a 100 dollar book and just use it one time. Our classes are accumalitive, anything we learn in day 1 is applied throughout our education
