I'm getting welding goggles but curious if i wear them for a long continuous time will my eyes be too sensitive to light?

Only if you wear them for non welding tasks. They are so dark that you won't be able to see anything and you eyes will dark adapt. Then when you take them off you will be momentarily light sensitive while your eyes light adapt -- similar to coming out of the movie theatre or when someone suddenly turns on the light when you are sleeping. they will not cause any permanent light sensitivity.

You will only be wearing them for welding in any case, and the bright light of the welding torch will keep you light adapted during that use.
