For waste pipe, yes: Lighter, cheaper, smoother, more resistant to corrosion, easier to install.

For electrical duct, qualified yes: Lighter, cheaper, smoother, (easier wire pull), more resistant to corrosion, Non magnetic, (Lower impedance - voltage drop) but not as strong, less mechanical protection.

For domestic water: same as for waste pipe, but I do worry about what might leach out over long periods.
