OK, take a deep breath.
Love your enthusiasm, but let's not go off half cocked.
The country is not falling apart, in fact, it is coming together quite nicely. The failed "shamnesty" bill proves that once "we, the People" make it known how we feel about something, we can make a difference.
The best thing to do: keep up the pressure on your elected rep's. I have both Spector's and Casey's number programed into my phone. I call their local offices at least once a week and remind them that when they come back up for election, I will have remembered what they tried to pull. And I will keep it up and tell all who will listen about them as well.
That is why the Internet and blog's in particular are so vital; good memory tools and the ability to record what has been said and written.
Call your Rep's.
Stay on 'em!!

The problem is that many MP's and senior civil servants are no good at what they do and would not last 5 minutes in a real job.Obvious example, the B.liar has never had a real job.
Who remembers Yes Minister? It may have been the best comedy series ever, but was recently revealed to have been loosely based on real events. The writers had an inside man!!
How do we start a new COMMON SENSE PARTY
Would any disillusioned MP's care to e-mail me
I'll get the ball rolling......

you say we sould get something started but you are not going to do anything, you have the right idea but you won't every go through with it.
just giving you an expample: the oklahoma city bombing was people fighting back, it was a group of people fed up with the government and decide to show that they want change. That building contained offices for Social Security, FBI, DEA, and ATF. They call it a terrorist attack but you can't believe what you hear in the media. It was really the people of this country standing up and showing their voice.

Britain is its own worse enemy, we elect these MP's and then moan about the state our country is in, the sooner we learn that lesson the better. We do have an alternative to the two party system, but we cant be bothered to go and make even a token effort to vote for one of the extremist parties,(I'm just as bad and don't bother to vote) I did see a answer on here where a young British couple were told by their local council, that they would have to wait 15yrs to get a council house, but after a BNP was elected they got a place within 24hrs, now in my book that's a positive start, and maybe we are being brainwashed by the media, MP's and P.C in this country, Surely its got to be worth a chance to give these so called extremists parties a chance, after all how much worse can it be for the guy in the street ?

Its the scum bag capitalist we want out of the country. They produce goods that are not needed simply to realise a personal profit and make millions a year. They have no concern for society only profit and are now amalgamating into organisations that dwarf the economies of European countries.
Their rights to profit and property are protected, they are courted and knighted. The right of the landlord to profit margin is a sacrosanct right of man in the west, why should it be so, when the right to a roof over your head is not? That must be a twisted morality.
You are manning the wrong barricade pal, the real enemy is passing you the wood to fence yourself in.

If you really want to transfer power from the government back to the people, then get behind the FairTax! No other plan, no other idea that is actually already in the form of a bill will actually give power back to the poeple!
How would you like to have the power, if you so chose, to stop paying taxes for a certain period of time? Under the FairTax you could!

Hi there, I love your sentiment and I completely and utterly agree with you!!!!
In Britain we have a whole set of rules and customs about different parts of our lives. Due to the socially constructed Political Correctness, we attempt not to say or do anything that will cause offence in order to try and be a tolerant and accepting nation.
When we are abroad we try to have some respect for other people’s customs. So we expect those who come here as visitors or residents equally to respect our traditions and way of life. However, the majority of them do not. They flaunt, preach and force their belief systems and traditions whilst continuing to speak in their native language without making any attempts to learn ours. It is not expected that they abandon their customs etc, but it is with respect that we would want them to make an effort to honour our homeland by making an effort to integrate with us. Everyone but the British is ‘protected’ under a mask of Political Correctness. British people are insulted without consequence, and are restricted from practising their religion. Yet we are drowned in a diversity of cultures, religions and beliefs, and some can seem to be offensive and alien to us. British people’s experience of these in their own communities leads them to be suspicious of the un-known, antagonistic; and a few to be racist. Diversity does not work under these conditions. This is why I agreed with a High Court ruling to say no to a young woman’s demands to flout her school’s rules by insisting on wearing a hijab. We need a set of rules to be put into place that will enable Britain to hold on to its identity and traditions. ‘It is the acceptance of the rules that makes any society function, and keeps a nation safe. It holds people together and provides the glue for social cohesion. Anything goes leads to everything going. And what will go is our sense of belonging and our identity. And it is about time we stood up to the extremists who terrorise, and portray an increasing threat to our society. Brits unite and make a stand!!!!!

Let's see....a few years ago they had the Million Mom March on Washington.....then it was the Million Man march......High time we had a Million Angry American march on Washington. I believe this would do more to unite all races that are here legally and send a message to the idiots who call themselves our "public servants"
Anyone interested?
