Be your word - that is a powerful level of integrity.

Stand by your convictions and do not be wishy washy...not a very eloquent answer but it about covers it ...lol .. I firmly believe with my whole being that a person is only as good as their word. If their word is good then their heart is good.

My quote for this is "don't sit on the fence, those pickets can really hurt after a while"

I may be rambling which is my cue to go to bed.. nite nite...

I don't need my heart to tell me anything about truth. It stands on its own merit. It means to just tell the truth. Don't go about making statements like "I swear on my moma's grave" or any other crap like that.........
James 5:12
But above all, my brethren, do not swear, either by heaven or by earth or with any other oath; but your yes is to be yes, and your no, no, so that you may not fall under judgment.

Matthew 5:37 "But let your "Yes" be "Yes" and your "No" be "No". For
whatever is more than these is from the evil one.
Honesty and integrity. Keep your word. Don't say yes when you really
mean no and vice versa.

Yes...you are my friend.
No...You don't have to put up with it.

1 Timothy 6:12
Fight the good fight of the faith. Take hold of the eternal life to which you were called when you made your good confession in the presence of many witnesses.

Be transparent with your motives. Hidden agendas will only be exposed by one's nonverbal cues. The flesh can't fake what is truly inside your heart. So be bold and mean yes in your heart when you say yes with your lips.

To me it means meaning what you say without qualifiers. If you truly mean what you're saying then follow that up with ACTION and be mature enough to accept the consequences of what you say. don't be ready to "sift the balme" onto someone or something else, STAND up for what you say and MEAN it.

Say what you mean, and mean what you say.

If you have to qualify your yes, with exceptions and your no with the same, watch out, you are being deceived and in turn deceiving others.

If you're always truthful you never have to qualify your statements.

If someone has to make a big deal over emphasizing telling the truth....are they truthful the rest of the time in everything else?

If your heart speaks truth, then swearing an oath or using other means to "cosign" or buttress your answer is unnecessary.

It tells me that I must be so honest that I never have to say "I swear" so that someone will believe me. When you have to say "I swear" it means that you are not always entirely truthful and this time you are.
