The erstwhile Mike Bliss from Milwaukie, Oregon. Otherwise, the closest I have is Jeff Gordon's original hometown of Vallejo, CA.
If you count my original hometown (Fontana, CA)- then I get to claim a choice between Kevin Harvick and Robby Gordon.

Ryan Newman grew up about 30 minutes from me, so did Tony Raines and David Stremme. Ryan and David being from Southbend, IN and Tony Raines is from Laporte, IN. Johnny Benson is from Grand Rapids, about 1 1/2 from me. Tony Stewart is from Columbus,IN which is just short of 3 hours, Jeff Gordon is from somewhere around there in Kendallville, John Andretti is from Indianapolis- about 3 hours. I am sure I missed some but they are the ones that come to mind.

Rusty, Mike and Kenny Wallace and Kenny Schrader. St. Louis, MO.
I live 20 minutes from where they grew up.
My friends family rented a house from the Wallace parents at one point.
The high school where they all 4 graduated from is close by and they recently put up a big billboard that says "Home of Nascar alumni" with there names and stuff. Pretty cool.

Kenny Schrader bought I-55 raceway about 30 miles south in Pevely Missouri and races there alot.

A friend of mine saw a for-sale ad in the paper for a small go-cart trailer to use for his riding lawn mower and when he got there it was Mike Wallace who was selling it!!

I don't think any of them live here anymore though.

Also, Bob Chandler who built the first monster truck, BIGFOOT 1, used to live by me growing up and he used to drive it down my street all the time when I was about your age. It wasn't as big as it is now but it was still huge for the day so I kind of witnessed first hand the whole monster truck thing happen.

I grew up 20 minutes from all of the Wallaces and Kenny Schrader in St. Louis. My pals kin rented a house from the Wallace mum and dad correct on the subject of the time Rusty broke into the Cup sequence. whilst they moved in, there have been some Wallace products interior the basement that they picked up the subsequent day. One became a table with a pile of 8"x10" black and white's of a few of Rusty's airborne dirt and dust autos. I tremendously undergo in strategies a '75ish 'vast bumper' Camaro airborne dirt and dust vehicle. If I knew then what i understand now i might have taken a pair.LOL.(or asked for a pair) I stress previous FOX extreme college merely approximately ordinary have been all of them graduated from. (Wallaces and Schrader) The soccer container there backs as much as interstate I-fifty 5 and that they at the instant erected a billboard viewable from the line that say's "domicile of Nascar allumni" with there names.....or something like that. tremendously cool.

Martin Truex Jr. grew up 10 miles from me. Hell even went to the same high school (8yrs after me of course). I've actually been to the house once about 10yrs ago. My nephew's Cub Scout pack was invited to check out the Truex(at that time it was Truex Sr. driving) race shop.
