the people have rights, the church should be in control if you truly feared God....and not the old cathloic church ethier, where they killed everyone for sinning. If we have to be a democracy, we should have God first..... there are more against God then there with him, and God will always fall with this government.

The problem with a country that is not as democratic as ours, is that you don't have freedom of religion. You follow what Religion, if any at all, that the people in charge want you to follow. In some countries, even today, they still put people to death for having a belief that is different from their governments. And believe it or not, more people in this country are with God then you might think. Our laws are based on the ten commandment and we are as a people the most charitable country in the world. The US is not perfect. But it is one of the few places on earth where in one community, people from several different religions and countries or origins (some from countries that have hated each other for years) can come together and live peacefully. Not even our best alley, the United Kingdom can say that. (Catholics and protestants)

The US is NOT a democracy. Democracy is just a notch above Anarchy.
The form of government in the US is a REPUBLIC; which has erroded due to liberal Court Rulings the past 50 years.
The original checks & balances have been thrown out the window. This corrupted new way of operating will be the downfall you speak of. That and the fact we (as a society) have turned our backs to God and thrown Him out everywhere we could.

History has shown that there has never been a Democracy that has continued. Most Americans think or quote that the US is an Democracy. It is not, it is a Republic.God is sovereign.

It is fact that all governments will fall in some point in time. Rome, Greece, Ottoman Empire, Nazi Germany...and of course last, but not least(not even last) Royalty....almost all royal families have lost their title as heads of state...
And to have a democracy you must have religion, but it does not have to be a single religion. That is totalitarian not democracy

No I don't think democracy is the fall of man kind, and neither is accountability....
In saying that I don't think people of particular religious persuasions should be discrimnated against for seats in government/ or the shadow government.

Democracy only exists if man is able to humble himself and truly place the needs of others beyond his own.
If he has no one above himself to be accountable to then he can only do his own thing which automatically destroys the democracy.

Doesn't the bible say that no one is in a position of authority unless it is given to him by God? If that is true than would that not mean that God is in control of the government.

well...it depends... theoretically, it's a wonderfull thing, but what matters is how people use it. i mean... religion has wonderfull concepts in it, and look what the most (leading)people made out of it: an excuse for war, murder, discrimination, non-acceptance and hate. Oh, and mass control.
