LOL! Of course not, all of my irrational superstitions are totally rational.

Especially the one about talking to my car so that it gets better milage, and starts more willingly on cold mornings.

No. I think superstitions are stupid. If I spill salt, I clean it up. I have owned three black cats, I will walk anyway around a ladder depending on which is easiet, break a mirror and you sweep up the glass. These things are redicoulus. Don't believe in anything that is irrational.

Im Agnostic, dont have a belief in the supernatural so much but...
I dont know where I learned this but I refuse to take an old broom to a new house. Something about the troubles of the old house entering the new house.

Good question. I absolutely do not have any superstitions whatsoever. By believing in superstitions I would be believing in the unexplainable. I am a follower of logical reasoning and rational thinking.

True Story - Years ago I called up a doctor's office to make an appointment for a vasectomy. I wanted the next Friday morning appointment. The nurse told me that the next one available was Friday the 13th. I took it and never worried and it has worked fine.

That one is called "tempting Fate".

For Fate is allegedly capricious and hates to be expected to do anything.

Queenofyack: that one makes sense. pests and other tiny critters can den up in an old broom. Leaving it behind is a good way to prevent contamination.

I don't know that my mother was superstitious in any other way, but she had a thing that if she dropped a knife, someone else had to pick it up.

I never did figure that one out.

I have no superstition that I know of. Bad Buddhist's statement makes no sense.

Superstition is an irrational belief in the significance of something.

Any atheist saying that they are not superstitious has no clue as to how their own mind is working.

Most of our perceived existence fits into this category.

I believe cats can sense things and sometimes see them. What, I dunno. But my cat looks intensely around at something that simply isnt there, and seems to be hyperaware of things on occasion.
