If you have reached your goal weight , you can figure out how many calories you need to eat to maintain that weight. You maintain by eating your weight X 15. So if you weigh 120, you will maintain that weight by eating 120 X15=1800 calories. That's assuming you are doing a normal amount of exercise. fyi, there are 3500 calories in a pound. Congrats on losing the 15 pounds. That was a little drastic (100 calories a day,) so be careful not to put the weight back on. Good luck to you!! :)

It sounds like you've been starving yourself and that's really not good at all. I would have to guess that most of your weight that you've lost is water and when you start to eat normallly again you will gain probably half of it back. The only sound way to keep yourself healthy and fit is to exercise and eat on a consistent basis. 4-6 small meals a day and drink lots of water. Physical fitness is essential. It could be any number of things that keep you active. Running, walking, light weight training or yoga. Exercise, eating, and hydration are the keys to the kingdom of looking and feeling great and it's the basic formula that will get you to where you want to be. It's not easy because there are so many distractions and outside influences that lead the majority of people down the path of being overweight. It's definitely a lifestyle and yes occasionally you can eat whatever you want, but then you have to get back on the horse of healthy living. Good Luck and if even if you fall off the wagon, you can get back up and start over again. It's a marathon so don't ever give up....

Sorry, but I would have to say NO!! You've actually been starving yourself, so when you finally start eating normal, healthy meals, your body is not going to know that it's not starving anymore and continue to save everything as fat.

The best way is to eat between 1600 to 2000 calories as 5 to 6 small meals per day. Try to keep each meal as balanced as possible, meaning carbs at 50%, proteins at 40% and healthy fats at 10%. Keep in mind that this is just an approximate guideline, your body will tell you if the ratios are okay or not if you listen closely. I know this seems like a lot, but after awhile you'll get used to it and your body will eventually figure out that it's not going to starve anymore and the fat will come off provided you exercise as well; this way you'll get the added benefit of the muscles helping to burn off the fat as well.

When I first started working out at the gym 11/2yrs. ago, I had to learn how to eat more too!! It didn't make sense to me that I had to eat more to lose weight!! But I now eat 5 to 6 meals a day, and the inches and weight have been coming off!! I still have more to go, but at least now I'm confident that eating more DOES make a lot of sense and it DOES work!!

Oh, and by the way, any pop whatsoever should not be included if you truly want to eat healthy and lose the weight....there is still way too much sugar in it!!!!

Hope I haven't discouraged you! If you'd like more info, try burnthefat.com, there's alot of good info in the ebook for sale there!! Good luck to you! :-)

probably not, you've been starving yourself, and the only weight you have lost is water and muscle tissue. By the way, you qualify for a diagnosis of anorexia. When you begin eating normally, if you do, the body will retain every single bit of the calories you consume until it figures out you aren't actually starving anymore.
