Rule #1: Don't spend money on your girl till you get to know her perfectly. They may think you're desperate!
But, ice cream is OK!

Well I'm 20 and I remember some of the things guys gave me when we first started dating although, my first bf was at 13 so you are a little more advanced than I was. I suggest that you get her something simple and sweet. To show that you care about her but don't be disrespectful to her parents or her. Starting a new, young relationship is fresh enough that big things aren't important. Just something that shows you made an effort. A flower...not a bouquet or a dozen roses....a single beautiful flower like a rose is nice. Gets the message across that you think she's great. It's not too expensive and it's classy. Keeps the parents happy too. Remember, gifts and money aren't all there is to keeping a girl....unless she's a golddigger. Who wants that... especially at 11? Make gifts special occasions and not flamboyant or expensive. The message of the gift is "I care about you" not "I care this many dollars about you". Also, remember at this time in your life the parents control when you two go out so be sure not to do anything that would upset them either. Good luck with your new girlfriend! And be a gentleman!!!!

awww how sweet but I agree with the person below. Sorry 2 break it to ya kid but at 11 & 10 years old that won't last long & not only will you not have a girlfriend, but you would also have no money. So why not write her a poem or pick her some flowers if you want to show her that you care & you will still have money.

aww that's really cute...you're both so young. I would say stay cheap. No need to spend a fortune. Girls love flowers, or a teddy bear...she'd love that. If you want to go fancier, maybe some body spray? I'd say go for a fun scent like Vanilla or Cotton Candy.

Hey umm. Since shes "Your new girl" don't buy anything yet. If you are planning to stay with this girl for A VERY LONG TIME, then don't rush things. Rushing would be bad.
P.S. personally I think your way too young to be serious like that.

It's sweet of you to want to get her something, but when I was 11, I didn't want anything expensive. Maybe get her a small piece of jewelry (bracelet or necklace) and take her out to a movie.

Well if you absolutely NEED to get her something, make it a teddy bear or something cute like that.
Otherwise, save it because you are only 11, and if she breaks up with you over it, she was shallow anyways.
