If it were my husband he'd be asking for ranch sauce. A good side dish would be mashed potatoes and then a vegetable. I love using the frozen vegetables from the freezer. Just throw them in a bowl and microwave for a couple of minutes.

2 parts mustard:1 part Honey. Depending on how many burgers your making. Try with 2 Tablespoons mustard and 1 Tablespoon Honey - blend together over a low heat on stove top. Weight Watchers Honey mustard Mayo would work too.
Coleslaw and fries come to mind, but really most veggies cooked or salad should be absolutely fine.
Have a great dinner together:)

Sliver 2 large sweet onions and lightly carmelize in butter. Before they kick over, mix in 2-3 table spoons of spicy brown mustard, cover and simmer on low heat for 3-5 minutes. Now add the semi cooked chicken burgers. Pour the onions over the patty's cover and cook on medium till the chicken is done.
The onions will complement the chicken while you add some lightly steamed vegetables (carrots, musrooms, broccolli, cauliflower.
:-)

white milk (country) gravy. After you fry the chicken burger, make sure there is about two tablespoons of grease left in the pan with the frying bits. Turn pan to high and Add about three tablespoons of flour and swirl it around in the grease and then let it cook for a few minutes (about 5 minutes). This is called making a rue. (cooked flour and grease from frying). Then add a can of evaporated milk to the hot pan stirring constantly to break up lumps and clean frying bits from the bottom of the pan. Lower heat to medium high and add salt and pepper to tase and continue to add just regular milk to the gravy if it wants to be too thick. Add milk til it gets to a consistency (thickness or thinness that you like for gravy or sauce). For white gravy, it is generally thicker than beef or chicken gravy for serving as those are pretty thin. Mixed vegetables are ideal for me with everything. I just don't like them overcooked until they are mushy. I like to stop cooking when they are crisp/tender. A lot of guys like mushy however, so you will need to be sure what he likes. And don't be intimidated with gravy. A lot of people find it hard to do and come out with thick lumpy bad stuff. Just charge ahead without worry and with confidence and it works every time. I love country (white) gravy with chicken and chicken fried steaks (floured cube steak) too. Go for it. We know that you can do it.

A "chicken burger"? You mean grilled chicken on a bun?
Well, classic fixings are lettuce, tomato, onion (maybe) or tomato/bacon on a roll with mayo. Alternatives are some kind of chipotle or southwestern mayo, and perhaps monteray jack cheese and sprouts, etc.
Side dish with burgers? Well, what does he like? Cook that.

How about some sauteed mushrooms and onions for the burger? Use a bit of butter, salt and pepper and then use the same pan to quickly sate some spinach with a bit of olive oil, salt and pepper.
