I want to be an online guitar teacher. Making videos and writing out very descriptive lessons. I don't know how much to charge, or where to really make the website from. I dont want to do it through myspace as it is basically a sham. Not worth anything unless you are a musician with tracks. Anyway, is there anyway to make money being a music teacher online?

I think you'd have better luck giving guitar lessons in person. How can you assess the progress of a student on line? While some classes can be done that way, such as math, history, etc., where you can test a person's progress, I don't see how you could do it with music on line. As far as making videos and writing out descriptive lessons, you could probably do that much, but a true music teacher has to listen to the music of his students in order to grade them.

Instead of doing it online you can put an add in your local newspaper stating that you give private lessons for X amount of money an hour.
