I have only done maybe two power point presentations in my life. And I'm pretty sure my question will be easy to answer. I've seen it done before where the speaker will be on one page and with each click of the mouse a new idea will appear. I can do this while switching from page to page, but I would like to be able to have at least three ideas on one page that I would like to mention in my own time and not have the audience see them all at once.

I hope that made sense!

Thanks!

Right click on the text box and choose "Custom Animation".
Towards the right you'll see "Introduce Text". Change "all at once" to "by word". This should have the text appear one at a time (assuming you're using bullet points).
*Make sure you check the correct text box, otherwise either nothing will happen or the wrong box will do the effect.

I hope that's what you meant..

It's called the "appear" function, you can add it as an effect on the text.

One you have your slide show done, click on slide show at the top and go to animation, play with it till you have what you want. PP is an awesome tool.....:)
