Sleep to be chance to dream for the body needs dreaming to relax and let go, So sleep is vital. Go to bed the same time every single night seven days a week and get up the same time. Teach your body when it is time to sleep. When you go to bed, no TV. Before you go to bed allow yourself at set amount of time to read then off goes the light. Soft music, not rock or rap, quietly in the background may help.

Take a long hot bath or shower before you go to bed. Think of a special quiet place you find relaxing, like watch the sun go down on the beach. Concentrate on your breathing like in yoga, slow in and very slow out. Concentrate only on your breathing.

If you haven't fallen asleep after fifteen minutes, go heat up some milk in the microwave and sip it. You can add chocolate for flavoring. Then back to bed.

Training your body that bed is only for sleeping and sex, nothing else.

If that does not work, talk to your doctor and try one of those new sleeping medications.

And again instead of being bored before you go to sleep, think of that very relaxing place!

Try taking a hot shower or bath before you go to sleep. If that doesn't work - try reading a book, reading will weary your eyes and you'll fall asleep quicker. Also, a very good technique of going to sleep is listening to music.

For me it is way easier if I get up earlier. Read before you go to sleep. Do anything that relaxes you.

some time i have that problem when i cant go to sleep, its probably because your thinking of something that you might be doing in the future like moving or you are about to get in serious trouble etc... the thing that helps me the most is to forget about it and take slow deep breaths you'll fall asleep in about 10 to 20 mins

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress,
dietary and medical problems. By making
small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly,
insomnia can be cured. I found the information

i just got over my short-term sleep problem i solved it by one night only getting 4 hours of sleep then forcing myself to stay up till 10pm the next day....it'll set you on track to wake up at 7am and if you stay up the whole time by 12am you should just hit the bed.... lol worked for me probably wont for you but worth a try.

Count backwards from 500?

Play out a story in your mind? Like an entire movie, line for line.

Also, dont eat very heavy right before you go to sleep
