I believe in God and Jesus and all the tales of Jesus but I also believe in evolution and not in Adam and Eve. Is there a religion that falls under this criteria?

You would be an intelligent Christian.

Unlike someone else who shall remain nameless.

I would say you are still a Christian.

Unlike Earl D, I believe we evolved from Apes and not a creation from dust. I think Apes are more intelligent then dust.

By the way, science does not desert Pluto. Pluto is still there, it is just not classified as a planet anymore. Things has to evolve. The 2000 yr old superstition has to evolve as well, since humans are getting more information and getting more intelligent. It would be quite a hassle to be stuck in the mentally 2000 yrs ago like some dust creature created by some imaginary master.

You are not a follower of established religion but you do accept God and his Son Jesus. Accepting Jesus as a teacher would equate you as a Christian, follower of Christ. But you don't buy into all the bible has to say. Just like me, So I call myself a Christ filled Spiritualist. I am a
Non-denominational - interfaith minister. Perhaps you would like to look into the Unitarian Church. It seems that church, would be one you could attend that may be acceptable to you.

Please don't take offense to this answer, because I mean it to help you out with all my heart.

It seems to me that you have come to crossroads in your beliefs (I had similar issues not too many years ago). The only suggestion I can make is to continue your journey in prayer and fully consider all possible arguments, and then make informed determinations about each aspect of your beliefs.

I don't know if there is a technical term for someone in your predicament, but I will keep you in my prayers that you will have answers to all the confusion you may encounter.

Sounds like Liberal Christian to me. There are some denominations of this, but they tend to be non-fundamentalist, and non-literal, and open to seeking and thinking. There is some information at this site:

You also might enjoy the Unitarian Universalists. They are not entirely Christian, but they are liberal and place high value on spiritual seeking and social justice. You can read all about them at www.uua.org

Good luck with your search!

I would have to say that you don't believe in anything because you can't believe in half the Bible and be considered Christian. Jesus and God are the same. Jesus is God in the flesh, not seperate. Christ said you are either hot or cold. So you are either Chirstian or not.

You can't be a believer in God if you don't believe what's written in the bible. There is only one God, and what is written is true. So, if you don't believe in Adam and Eve, you don't believe in God or his Son. Sounds more like a cult.

in case you experience such as you may desire to bypass to church to talk to God, then you definately are interior the incorrect church. you are able to consult with God every time, everywhere. no longer that that church is undesirable, that's merely some all human beings is extra mushy in one church than yet another.
