This is very true!

When my daughter lost her transplanted kidney, I thought I would die! After all the waiting, tests, surgeries and so on, she lost her only life source, once again!

I had to be strong as she had a young son, my grandson. Plus, she needed her mother! So, the very thing which was breaking my heart, also gave me strength to walk through this for their sake!

maybe mentally it will make you stronger but a lot of times if it doesn't kill you mean years and years of physical therapy and you still don't get better. I know a person that broke his neck he will never really be the same but at least he's a live and can walk now...after 5 years in the hospital

I lived with a very abusive man for about 22 years, "he did not kill me" however he did make me a stronger woman mentally and emotionally

Me two!! I gave birth to a 9 lbs. 4 oz. baby boy with a 16 in. head that almost killed me! Now after lugging him around for 3 three years I am most defiantly stronger;) I totally agree with you.

In some ways. If you have a lot of bad things happen to you though, it can affect your life badly- anxiety, low self esteem. One may feel a sense of pride at having gotten through something, but left very wounded.

I would like to agree w/that statement, but I don't know I'm still going through it and it really sucks balls right now.

The father of my baby was brutally murdered earlier this year and I've been miserable. I wouldn't wish his death on my worst enemy and I miss him dearly.
