What is your favourite kind of acrylic paint and paint brushes. What brands work best? I haven't been able to find a kind of paint or brushes that I really like so I need some advice. Thanks!

I like the liquid acrylics better myself. The thick bodied is like painting with toothpaste.

They're cheap but I love apple barrel paints that can be bought at Wal-Mart and Michael's. I haven't painted in a while, but I used these in college before we started using oils. When using acrylics I always use soft brushes. Michael's has a good variety, be sure to inspect the bristles for glue that the manufacturers put on the tips to make them look crisp. You want brushes that won't flare when the glue is removed.

I only work with oil paints ... I find acrylics so cold. Maybe that's why you are having trouble with them; maybe you should give oils a try.

behr, it's stands up the longest, as for paint brushes, if your painting an exterior, use a firmer bristle, for interior, a softer one. But for wide spaces, consider using a roller, or even a sprayer if possible.

Good luck!
