The US Army has no Aircraft Carriers!

The cost of an air-craft carrier is expensive – the Chinese are commissioning one for $362m which would be about half the Welsh Military’s annual budget but the US Navy’s Nimitz class carrier costs a staggering $4.5 billion. There are only 10 states world-wide which possess air-craft carriers

The US Army has no aircraft carriers in service.

The US Navy, however, has 11 aircraft carriers in service until 2008, when the USS Kitty Hawk is being retired. In 2009, the USS George H. W. Bush will enter active service, bringing the count back to 11.

The US Army may not have aircraft carriers but they do have cargo ships. How many of you ever knew this fact? Besides all it would take is one well placed missile and they lose one of their most expensive resources, not to mention all of those crew members that will go down with the ship! Carriers are a massive mistake waiting to happen! You should see how difficult it is to get US Army soldiers to function as sailors on board a ship.
