I just read something on here about why birds bathe in dust, and the best answer was to prevent mites etc.
I love my birdies, and they stay on my shoulder, and I often give them little kisses on the chest....
Is this ok?

There is no harm to kissing them on the chest, only risk i getting your nose bit. You don't want to let them eat out of your mouth because humane saliva contains bacteria that could be dangerous to your bird.

Put as long as your Budgie like to be kissed on it's belly then do it.

There are merely some issues that pass from birds to human beings. while you're protecting it sparkling, then your sister isn't respiratory in countless fecal airborne dirt and dust, you're tremendously secure. provide me a kiss is one in each of my parakeets well-known video games. Birds are stable pals.

At the pet shop you should be able to buy (I don't remember the exact name, but it looked like a round flat can, about 2 or 3 inches across) but you hook it to the outside of the cage and it keeps mites way.
I used to have it on my bird cages and none of my birds ever got mites or sick.

Well, I have had mine for 2 years, and I kiss him every day, so, I would say it is ok. As long as he doesn't have mites, which you can get preventers at walmart. I don't have the preventer, but mine has never had them.

Well nothing bad has happened to you yet right?

So I'm guessing it isn't wrong, you're just showing a way of affection to your birds and your birds appreciate it since they aren't aggressive with you

Yes, you can kiss them. If they start getting aggressive, though, don't let them sit on your shoulder because this gives them the feeling of dominance. Have fun!

I give my bird kisses all the time!
As long as they aren't big fat wet sloppy kisses you are fine. Your saliva contains ecoli bacteria that can make your birds sick.
Little kisses are just fine.
