I am extremely afraid of spiders and, more specifically, tarantuals. (Camel Spiders also creep me out....but that's not going anywhere.)

I want to get rid of this fear. I know everything about tarantulas and spiders, and that has just helped to increase my fear. It creeps me out that they have 8 legs and 8 eyes, and that web-spinning thing is .. . . . . .*shivers* I don't care that it's stronger than steel. It comes out of their bodies.

I know that this fear is completely irrational. I have had no lingering childhood experiences that cause me to fear them. They're just gross.

Is there anything I can do?

Hey, this fear is completely normal, not irrational. Agrophobia (hope that is spelt right) I've had this since a child and now I live in Australia, where all insect life is larger and deadlier!!! I've had to cope with some horrible moments getting rid of spiders in the house, when I've been on my own. The 'ole can of Pea Beau goes a long way!!! The broom is a good tool, as long as you can get them out the door, before they crawl down to your hands!!!
On the serious side, there are people called "mind manipulators" who can work with you to help get rid of the fear. It involves coming pretty close to the "hairy monsters" and maybe even touching them. UGH!!! If you can do this, you are braver than me.
On a regular basis, I have my house sprayed for termites and this actually eradicates alot of the insect life, truly!!!
Good luck with whatever path you choose to take.

cool down, you are going to be ok, due dates are "ballparked" interior 2 weeks before and after, and at very almost 37 weeks, the only element left for yourbaby to do is positioned on a sprint physique fat. I even have 5 little ones and went by using an identical difficulty with my first, she became born early (considered "pre-term" 5lbs11oz)and became nice. She gave the effect of a tadpole, very skinny, her head appeared huge because of the fact her little physique did not positioned on that's "fat shops", yet she did not prefer any specific help. I did observe that she became particulary delicate to loud sounds, lighting fixtures and purely had to be swaddled(greater suitable than the different 4). attempt to chill out as much as available, have your luggage waiting, and bear in innovations,if your water does smash, it somewhat is going to be HOURS before the infant is born, so have your "motive force" pass sluggish and secure, i understand contractions harm, yet they harm on the well-being middle too and entering right into a smash can not help. additionally, if the contractions come once you're mendacity down, attempt changing positions, status up, and in the event that they provide up or do not progression, they are purely stable 'ol "Braxton-Hicks" and that's purely your bodies way of "warming-up" for the vast adventure. yet relatively, suited now the excellent element you're able to do for you and your little female, is relax alongside with your feet up, consume healthy, and stay calm. you have an excellent variety of time to run around and omit sleep after she's born, and you may freak-out while she starts relationship! stable success & take it elementary!
