We know that we are of God and the whole world lies in the evil one...

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding that we might know Him who is TRUE adn we are IN HIM who is TRUE, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the True God and eternal life...

1 John 2 : 21-22
I have not written to you because you do not know the truth, BUT because you KNOW it and because no lie is of the truth

Who is the Liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is the antichrist, the one who denies the Father and the Son.

May the Lord keep us in the Truth. That He is God and beside Him there is no other. He is our Blessed Trinity now and forever.
And today we have been begotten to be children of God. Who are not going to fall for all the universal lies that float around ... but through Him we can be in the truth and live a truthful life.

Praise the Lord

Yes, 2+2=4 is an absolute truth.

There are those that say there is no absolute truth.
Another way of putting that is "there is absolutely no absolute truth". Were that statement true, it would itself be an absolute truth. Therefore, the statement would be proving itself wrong since it states there is no absolute truth. Thus the lunacy of saying there is no absolute truth.

Yes, there exists universal or an absolute Truth. If something is true, it is true. 3,100 people or 1000000 can all claim to have a different truth, but they can not all be 100% correct. They may each have elements of truth but there can only be essentially one absolute truth.Maybe one of these people have it and maybe no one on earth does but it does not make logical sense that there could be more than one truth....

Susan, That is a fantastic question and you have to know that there is no way to get a satisfactory answer it here. It would simply have to be too long. I will say , yes there is absolute truth and will recommend a little booklet called Absolute Truth by Mark Ashton. I believe I got mine from D. James Kennedy's web site. It's 31 pages and you should find it helpful. God bless!

without delving into semantics of religion, technology, physics or maybe systematic perception frequently, you may desire to understand that existence exists. close your eyes, your ears, certainly your innovations. what's certainty is each and every thing primary and unknown because it somewhat is. Strip away perception, theories, understandings, know-how, perceptions, and so on. and all this is left is what's. it somewhat is BEING. it somewhat is what's certainty. in spite of if or not that's categorized 'absolute' or 'customary' concerns not. To insist on such labels is to be misfocused far flung from unhindered certainty. What there is to settle for and understand is that certainty is precisely what it somewhat is without effect, manipulation or with the help of interference to information, evaluations, ideals, ideals, theories, et al. advantages

Yes. The very nature of "truth" makes the concept absolute. There can not be "Susan J's truth" and "Father K's truth". There can, by nature, be only one truth. Truth is not subjective.

My friend, My God is truth and that is absolute. However I see Him as bigger than the universe and greater truth than universal. My God means what He says and says what He means absolutely.

Just my opinion.

Confucius said, "Absolute Truth is indestructible. Being indestructible, it is eternal. Being eternal, it is self-existent. Being self-existent, it is infinite. Being infinite, it is vast and deep. Being vast and deep, it is transcendental and intelligent."

A concept, not physical body, of truth satisfies the above definition. To relate Absolute or Universal truth to a God is meaningless. Self-existence requires self and proof of self, something a God cannot do.

Neither is Absolute Truth a religion...note the requirement of being vast, deep and intelligent, things that do not describe religion which is shallow, self centered and (usually) not intelligent.
