Over the years I used nearly every OTC med that I could get my hands on & I still broke out. What I finally found that worked was washing with antibacterial liquid hand soap like Dial brand, but I use the generic stuff from wal-mart. I buy it in the large 64 oz. refill containers for under $4.00, I use it like body wash & a face cleanser. I have been using it for about 6 months & I almost never get a pimple or blemish maybe one or two a month.
Also I found this rather interesting website, it's for kids & preteens but it has alot of good information on there.

I know you said nothing over the counter but I have to recommend it anyway because it's a really great product. It's called "Nature's Cure" they make one for boys and one for girls. You chew a pill in the morning and one at night AND there's this absolutely fantastic vanishing cream that improves, if not eliminates, pimples and blackheads overnight. I used to get BAD acne, Proactiv didn't work for me either, my doctor told me about this stuff about 3 years ago. I haven't had problems since and it doesn't cause the side effects that others cause. No redness, swelling, etc. and you don't have to worry about drug interactions. IT'S ABSOLUTELY THE BEST!!!

maybe ur just allergic to the stuff, or u could have really sensitive skin or skin that reacts differently to normal products, a few different things i tried for the heck of it worked the same way, u just gotta look, read labels, less acidic stuff. And i use Biore and Avon stuff (alternate from time to time) it works pretty well but u just have to use it daily and tediously, if u get a routine going (morning and night usually) and skip a few days or mess up your schedule, you'll get problems again so stick to it! and PS if this is a girl, or a guy i guess, if u do, dnt wear foundation or concealer or any of that stuff unless it's a powder, oil-free, and has
skin-helping minerals. i hope sum of this helps u!

get regular face clean ups done by a professional once a week or so..use a mild face wash which suits ur skin tone and follow a detox diet where u should drink lots of fluids like fresh fruit juices and drink a bottle of water every mornin..this will help flush out all the toxins from ur body and indeed be beneficial for ur skin... many ppl have tried this detox therapy and belive me ur skin improves drastically...

blackheads are caused by dirt. you probably aren't scrubbing well enough. take a washcloth and put it in hot water, very very hot water, wring it out and place on your face. Let sit for about 3 minutes, then use dove soap and scrub your face. rinse with very cold water and pat dry. do this several times a day.

Obviously this product you have been using is not good for your face...For blackheads and whiteheads you need something with Salycyclic Acid in it, try a Neutrogena wash or any other facial cleanser with 2% salycylic acid...good luck.

did you use the exfoliating proactive, then the face mask, then the toner, then the lotion? twice a day? cause thats what you have to do.
you might want to stop eating anything with artificial sweeteners in it.
