The other day it came to my attention that the Creation Museum was a sick, twisted, traumatizing place - rather than just funny. Today I hear people like this preaching all the time and I wonder... when will it ever end?

I don't hate Christianity. I hate people like this (and Ken Ham, Kurt Hovind, Benny Hinn) who spread terror and rage throughout the Christian community. They should be called out as non-Christians already if you are truly following the practices of Jesus Christ.

Then again, if this is Christianity to some of you, then I must tell you - I am beyond disgusted and I'm going to try to get the museum's license rescinded and people like this moron removed from television. How dare people traumatize their children like this

Hi, Queen of Tartz! I know it. And I know you would never allow anyone like this to call themselves a Christian. You are a blessing to the religion. *Steals Linzer Tart and gives you half-eaten mushy cookie* (Sorry, gotta start a fresh batch).

"Full Gospel Shirley*, etc. I went there because I have the right to see what the children of this country are "learning" from all of it, and after viewing its twisted horrors I can tell you that it is indeed traumatizing for all ages. Pics are here:

I like my cliff notes version of the Bible
Old Testament: I am that I am
New Testament: Love God, Love your neighbor.

There is an element in humanity that can't psychologically bear the thought of being wrong - the level of denial that occurs is massive.

As to the answerer above me who says that she doesn't see what the big deal is about the creation museum - if you don't like it don't go. Thats the level of denial I'm talking about. Here's a thought that Laptop shared -- "those things that grow in my life are the things I feed". I think its relevant here. Keep feeding truth, cookie.

Okay, I'm a Christ follower... I thought that was very strange. I have never seen anybody speak that was anything like that. The last Christian speaker I saw was Tony Dungy. And the last Christian comedian I saw was Brad Stine. Both NOTHING like that guy! And I'm SURE that there are MANY speakers out there that claim to be Christians, but are not. Shame.
As far as the Creation Museum; I don't understand what you're so worried about. It's likely that the only people that will visit it are those that believe what the museum asserts could have or did happen. You are certainly not required to subject yourself to it.

The video was poor quality sweetie so I am not sure what he was saying. Could be my computer.

I saw today that the Creation Museum has a room with pictures of the Holocaust showing on the wall. Outside above the door says that it is a reminder of what can happen if you deny Jesus. I was appalled.

I saw a fundie woman TODAY say that schizophrenia is caused by a demon possession. I kid you not. What a freakin idiot!

Couldn't hear the sound track properly; sounded like it was set too high a pitch or something. Not like chipmunks exactly, but like a chipmunk at the bottom of a metal tube.

Wow, OK I couldn't make out what this guy was saying but my gut reaction was to be annoyed.

Anyway, yeah there are a lot of people out there that claim to be Christians that are anything but. I want name names but I think you know what I mean.
I just wish the media wouldn't give those jerks so much spotlight.

Well I get it. He is acting like a kid in a comedy routine. I could only watch it for so long but I did not see anything in there that you described as digusting. You must just have a problem with something in his material. I suggest you do not watch things that disgust you. Like, comedians who don't use profanity, or cooking shows, or Jerry Lewis telethons.
Traumatize children? Please. I think Barney or Sesame Street was more likely to traumatize...do you know what the definition of traumatize is??

I watched about 15 seconds of that and had to gag.

If it works for someone, great. It seems odd that Christians like this, that think this way, get so much attention. Most of us know that they are a small percentage of Christians. The truly scary part is that this brand of Christianity is growing.

It would be much better if people would just be kind to each other. How about one commandment : thou shalt be kind to one another.
How hard is it really to smile at your neighbor, or to hold open a door; to help an older person with their groceries for once, to wave at a child; to just say please, thank you or you're welocme for once. It doesn't take much and it leaves so much good in return.
Blessed are the Merciful.

Thanks for the 2 points but it still wasted 15 minutes of my life.
