Reason I'm asking is I just joined the Army, wanting the aspirations of going infantry, but ended up in 25 Charlie which is Radio Operator and Repairer.

Reason I couldn't go infantry was because I was mildly color blind. Are the marines just as harsh when it comes to picking and choosing who's infantry?

I know it's different for USMC and the Royal Marines but they both do the Ex Tartan periodically and consistantly communicate. Knowing that, marines always maintain a high standard and I know that RM Commando selection will take pretty much all infantry except marines and squash them. I'm pretty certain the USMC are similar.

Marines is a tough process. Colour blindness (partial or impartial) is one of the immediate rejections on our lists and is actually on our recruitment forms for the RM before you even put your name down. Although that is for a British Commando, I'm almost certain the USMC will bear the same attitudes.

Takes a few on the backside to keeps things moving.

It's a team effort.

I did 3 years active in Avionics and 4.5 in a Reserve Signal Co.

It takes working helicopters to launch an Air Assault and they all have to talk to each other or $h*t just don't get done.
