Hi, everyone.

I got an e-mail from a local no-kill shelter today that had some very cool news inside! They have a Beagle that needs to be fostered!

The shelter doesn't know very much about the dog, but they'll be finding out more about him on Friday. What we do know is:

• He's named Flash.
• He's a neutered male.
• He's 7 years old.
• The shelter lady described him as "naughty" (not sure what this means, but we are guessing he is a door-dasher??).
• He is being surrendered because his current parent is pregnant, and is not sure if she can handle a dog right now.

So, can you tell me EVERYTHING you know about Beagles??

Thanks!!

I love my beagle but they are not for everyone. You have to either have the land for them to run or keep them on a leash at all times. Their nose gets the better of them and they cant help but run the sent down no matter what. I have 40 acres and Trixie still takes off and comes home at 3am which is no fun since she often needs a bath. But they are loving dogs and want to cuddle and sleep with you. I have heard and agree from my limited experiance that they have soem seperation anxiety. But they are so dang cute it is worth the downs to have all the ups of a beagle. Limited health issues from what I know except the occasional ear problem which comes with any long eared dog

I have a 10month old beagle, female (spayed) named Belle. What do I know about beagles would have to be smashed down into what I know about Belle and a beagle that my Mother owns. Both are very vocal, barking and howling. Both desire a lot of attention - they're cuddly, snuggly. They're so smart (and tricky!)..sock stealing, running, chewing, sneaky dogs. They both would run for the hills if off of a leash - they do require a bit of exercise (walks, twice+ a day or a large backyard) or they'll make you batty. I love them both. Funny, caring, amusing dogs. A lot of work, but worth it.

Why don't seem to be you being a in charge proprietor and letting your intact puppy have dogs? Don't you detect what number of, many puppies are being killed in shelters each and every unmarried day considering there are to many puppies and now not ample properties for them? Do your puppy and the puppies which might be being killed in shelters considering of BYB's such as you a desire and GET YOUR DOG SPAYED for Gods sake!!!! To many puppies and now not ample properties -- AGAIN - Get your puppy SPAYED. ALL puppies must be within puppies. They must be facet of your household. Why the heck might anybody have a puppy and hold it external. Give me a holiday for crying out loud.

don't have one. Have seen them at agility trials and have had a couple in our classes. They are scent hounds, can't keep their heads off the ground and will follow a trail despite what most owners try to do! Very busy and active.

Seem to be sweet dogs....I wouldn't have one

beagles are very loving and they are so cute. they love to eat ,run, jump, lick, and play. they love attention and demand it. their bad habit is howling, but i think they do this because they are happy. they are just so precious. wouldn't mind having one ,but i took in a stray lab, who is very spoiled and i don't think they would get along. get the dog and give him love.........
