hey, im a hairstylist, and i've got the problem myself. I use Neutrogena Triple Moisture Dry Scalp Soothing Shampoo. The reason why you should use this, is because you most likely do not have dandruff, you probably have dry scalp. The reason for this, is because dandruff is caused by a natural yeast bacteria(that everybody has) and it reacts to some people more, therefore some people have the flaking, and others don't. Dry scalp can be caused because of bad shampoos, conditioners, bad bath water(too much chlorine, etc..) and more... this is a great product, and you'll see results the first time you use it, i did :). oh, and you can find it pretty much anywhere, grocery stores... cvs'..... heres the link shampoo-http://www.drugstore.com/qxp142002_333181_sespider/neutrogena_triple_moisture/dry_scalp_soothing_shampoo.htm

hope that helps :)

Many, many factors are associated with dandruff.
1] eat a quality diet - nofried, fast or junk food - even diet junk food. Use canola or olive oil for salads.
2] drink 1/2 gallon of water a day
3] take a quality vitamin with minerals every day [ a little can make a big difference ]
4] exercise at least 3 - 4 times a week - decreases stress
5] go to drugstore - buy Neutrogena T Sal shampoo, cortisone ointment, and Aquaphor.
6] massage scalp, and comb out tangles
7] shampoo with the TSal, twice, and rinse thoroughly.
8] part hair into one or two inch sections all over scalp. Rub a pearl-sized dab of Aquaphor into sections all over head. It is helpful to have an assistant for this.Comb through hair. Leave on overnight. [ hair will look disgusting ] Cover with scarf or shower cap.
9] wash all combs, brushes, and other hair instuments.
10] after 12-24 hours, shampoo again - wash twice.
11] examine scalp to see if any improvement. Again, ask assistant for help. If yes, great! Repeat in a few days.
12] if not, do all again, with cortisone ointment instead of Aquaphor.
13] again, check for improvement.
14] if none, call doctor for appointment.

Selsun Blue Daily will solve all your dandruff problems. Trust me, I thought I had tried all the dandruff solutions out there, but when I tried Selsun Blue Daily shampoo, I knew I had found the answer to all my dandruff problems. Before that, I washed my hair daily and made sure to not touch anywhere near the scalp if I had to touch my hair. Now, it doesn't matter, because even if I have to scratch my head, there's no dandruff. Use Selsun Blue Daily shampoo, daily, just like it says. Apply it to your hair first thing when you get into the shower, because it's more effective when you sorta let the shampoo sink in. When you apply it, really massage it into your scalp, it helps with the effectiveness. Hope this helps =)!!

Nizoral AD, it's in the dandruff section. It is a non-prescription strength, prescription drug that kills the bacteria that cause dandruff. You can go from using it every three days, down to once every two weeks. It really works well. It's more exspensive, but it is worth it. A little works a long time.

This is a natural dandruff treatment that just might work;

DANDRUFF TREATMENT:
1.Boil two tablespoons of dried thyme in a cup of water
2. Cool, Strain, and pour on scalp. DO NOT RINSE!

If this doesn't work, i suggest you consult your dermatologist. Hopefully, they can come to the root of your dandruff problems.
