I purchased a Ford Fusion on July 6th and so far I LOVE IT! It is a very smooth drive and it looks sleek. I keep looking out of the window at it.

I did my homework before I went to test drive it. I read the reviews that rated it on par with the Camry and Accord. I can't tell you exactly which ones I read, I was googling Fusion reviews to get info. I went in to test drive it and fell in love.

The Fusion rated highly in JDPower initial quality surveys, listed it in 3rd for Initial Quality in it's class. Its twin the Mercury Milan, took first place. While it's cousin the Lincoln MKZ took first in the luxury entry segment. I'm providing a link for that.

As for reliability, Consumer Reports is rating it higher than the Camry, in line with the Accord. JDPower's research also states similar results.

So far it's been a great hit for Ford so far. Reliability is there, so is the quality, crash ratings are great as well. It definately stands out from the rest of the common vehicles, and it's not as common to see as a Camry or Accord.

If you like it, and want better customer service and dealership experience, you can try the Mercury Milan and enjoy Lincoln dealership experience which rates high as well.

Hope this helps :)

I really like A A's answer because he stated lots of true facts. The Fusion beat the Camry and Accord in style, handling, and quality. Check out the specs, pictures, and comparisons between the Camry and Accord here: http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/fusion/?searchid=426441|15932595|80554690

Here's consumer reports of people that bought the Fusion: http://autos.yahoo.com/2007_ford_fusion-reviews_user/

Hands down, the best value in mid-sized cars right now. Good mileage, power, amenities, handling and looks. Go drive an Accord (zzzz) and Camry (yawn), then try the Fusion last. You WILL go home with the Fusion!

For the money you absolutely can not beat what you get in that car, power, performance and comfort, the three virtues of modern car buying. You can get a fully loaded to the brim SEL. AWD with evey single option for under 30 k and these cars will out perform all of the foreign jobs (Toyota, Honda etc) and the arnt bad to look at either

They are good cars. They are made in Mexico at the moment, if that makes a difference to you.

Take a look at the new 08 Taurus. It just received the highest safety rating for a full size car. Check it out. good luck.

Kind of a bad answer, but its the most un american-american car out , as soon as i saw that its made in mexico with german and other foriegn parts i didnt care about the rest. I typically think that your jap cars are better for the dollar as far as quality "life span" .Im trying to get in and support american products because there making great improvment all around, but buying that car just says to our domestic companies that they can send our jobs all over the world and we'll still support them. Not the answer you needed but just my thoughts.Sorry for being so un P.C
